One the (many) good ruin bars in old town Budapest. Worth a visit to sample the unique atmosphere of Budapest ruin bars.

This is a nice bar, down a little lane but feel the general vibe was a bit off. The drinks were cheap and stayed for 1 beer but went on to another bar after this. Worth a visit but feel other bars nearby are better.

If you visit Budapest and don’t visit here you have missed out. I was on my honeymoon and staying close by so made a few trips. It’s a ruin bar in the true sense of it. When it rained they ran round unplugging stuff to...More

I was so excited to be back in Budapest this past week so that I could come here and stuff my face with another one of their delicious chicken burritos! Super yummy, super cheap, and I love that they press the burrito in a panini...More

the atmoshere, the music and the staff is great. The prices are reasonable and the mexican food worth it! the coctails are good but with no much alcohol (I had to buy 2 extra shots of tequila to make it more like a coctail)

One of the earliest ruin bars of Budapest, it's still hip and happening among the 300+ that have sprung up now. What makes this place really interesting is the Taqueria inside that makes some of the tastiest Mexican ever. There are also 2 counters to...More

We just walked in after a nice dinner. It was suggested, however the ruin pubs are not my favorites. The advantages are: it has an open air place such as indoor parts. The music was from the 80s. The prices are not the highest in...More

We nipped in for one and stayed till closing. Decent music. Cheap beer. Friendly staff. Also if you have any foreign notes to pin to their board they will give you shots as a thank you. Great evening would visit again.

We were there early in the evening, but loved the place. The Mexican Aztec decor was great , the music played was a fantastic jazz. There was a great selection of drinks and beer. When in Budapest again we will most certainly visit Ellato Kert.

District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses
the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and
colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in
an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes
and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic
crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of
the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in
Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly

There were dogs there when we went but they may have been the owners. Worth trying I guess.
