The food was delicious and the act of eating was accompanied by a talented hungarian string section which set the perfect kind of scene you've always wanted to experience in Budapest.

This office canteen offers wide choice, reliable quality at affordable prices. Kind service, palace quarter milieu. Best between 12:30 and 13:30 - at noon, the queue is long, after 13:30, many meals run out.

Andrassy Grand Boulevard, also called Budapest`s Champs Elysee or Budapest`s Broadway is a wide avenue runs up from Chain Bridge to Her0e`s Square. Built around 1871 Andrassy ut today stands for high-end boutiques, elegant coffee shops, residencies embassies and magnats, but also Budapest`s Opera House, Müvesz Kavahaz (an elegant coffe house), Goethe Institute, Lisz Ferenc House, Lukacs Cukraszda (legendary confectioners). Europe`s first underground on the continent opened in 1896 (today M/1 Metro line). One of the Focus Point of the Boulevard is the 1890 built residence of former Hungarian Prime Ministers, today an Office building with a down-stairs restaurant another hot-spot. Here you can enjoy tasting Hungarian and Austrian specialities served in a stalish laid-back ambience; Highlights of Andrassy 100 Eetterem include fine regional winesand pastries.

This place is like a canteen in a school or hospital but don't let that put you off the food is really nice and huge portions, it's also so cheap you can easily feed yourself with a drink for 3 pound and be so full you find it hard to breath

This is an excellent restaurant and offers traditional Hungarian food including goulash soup, lamb, noodles etc with an excellent chocolate souffle to follow- made freshly to order. All this and ladies are serenaded by an excellent violinist who works with his brother and a great group. Very historic surroundings.

This has to be one of the best restaurants in Hungary, set in a historic building giving it an old world feeling. The welcome was warm and truly enjoyable, with waiters who clearly enjoy their work, the place, and the visitors. They went out of their way to have us appreciate their local drink, palinka, and to tell us the story of the building. The food was supremely good: leek and potato soup served in bread, and especially the goulash which is the best we ate even when considering Germany, Austria, and Czech Republic. I highly recommend this great establishment.

The service was excellent, the food was well done. Chicken Paprikash and Beef Paprikash were memorable. The dumplings are out of this world - light and easy to eat.
Would recommend.

Our guide recommended this restaurant for the authentic Hungarian food. It was a great recommendation. The service is wonderful---I appreciate it when a waiter advises you against a meal if he feels it may not suit you. I switched from a pork dish to Chicken Paprika, and it was just delicious. My husband had a different pork dish than the one I had thought I wanted, and it was just perfect for him. The Goulash was delicious, as was the wine. The pace of service is excellent, even though they were very busy. Definitely a must while you're in Budapest.

If you want to taste some of the best Hungarian dishes: gulas, Tatar beefsteak, etc. with old good Tokai wine, enjoying your meal combined with first class live gypsy violin band, just go for it. Of course, be ready to pay over 100 EUR for decent dinner for 4 hungry gourmet persons)))).
Being hungry in Hungary is a sin!!!!
