Myself and my daughter found this restaurant by chance. We both enjoyed the delicious food and very friendly service. The waiters spoke excellent English and patiently explained the menu even though the restaurant was almost full. We returned the next day for lunch. I hope to return one day.

Even with Google maps on the mobile we had a bit of trouble finding this place but when we did we were not disappointed. I had seen some good reviews and that is why we sought it out and the food was excellent from start to finish. The entertainment was also about right for the occasion as well. We certainly... More

Hands down, another top restaurant offering real classic Hungarian dishes. We had made dinner reservations and after that first outstanding meal, agreed that we had to come back one more time before we left Budapest. We loved every dish we could try, which was a lot: cold foie gras in goose fat, Rosenstein's own egg salad, steak tartare, veal cheek... More

Got the restaurant recommended for good food & service. Both was not to impressive and max mediocre. Weekly recommendation was very "special" and as the waiter which was asked about it made the disappointment even bigger. On the top, but that can happen a bigger group "took over" the the room and noise level.

My wife chose Roast „Kürtös” (beef filet filled with Italian ham, onions and cheese) with spicy hot sauce. Myself I chose the goose liver with apple and grapes. The dishes tasted wonderfully, and the service was excellent. We ended up buying Mr. Rosensteins Cookbook. Very satisfied!!!

We've visited this restaurant after we went to Szecheny furdo. The atmosphere is warm and fancy. The service was polite and quick. Much to our surprise, the food didn't match that setting tho. The Hungarian style chicken with paprika was slightly dry. The smoked goose with risotto was tasty, but nothing exciting. Overall, you can dine far better for less... More

It is a place that locals visit and as I understood it has steady customers. The food was excellent. It is near a metro station and worth visiting. We had goulash soup, salad, main dish, a bottle of excellent wine, plus dessert, and we paid with a tip 70.00 euros (2 people).

On the first evening in Budapest we were charmed of this little place. Everything was great. Had an escargot and the venicine. After a few hours came back to have a coffee.

I selected Rosenstein to introduce to my Italian colleague the Hungarian cuisine. It was a perfect choice as he could taste lecsó with Kadarka and other specialties. Food was fantastic. Despite the restaurant was almost full service was fast and helpful. We had to wait for the invoice more than expected - that could be the only negative comment.

Thank István H
