Just stopped for a quick beer and a sit down. What a pleasant cafe, it was a great experience and we enjoyed our brief visit. I would certainly look it out again on an other trip

I came with family and had a wonderful time. We each had a different meal and we all thrilled with our choices. The presentation was lovely and the food fresh and delicious. We stayed a long time having a wonderful time talking and were never hurried. Lots of locals as well. The surroundings were lovely. Would love to go there... More

We ate here not 6 months earlier and had a great experience, so much so that on this trip we walked 45 minutes from our AirBnB in Pest, across Chain Bridge and up to the far end of Buda's Castle Quarter to have brunch here again. However, the experience was awful this time. Poor service, misleading menu descriptions and increased... More

Everyone loved their food with nothing but empty plates going back. Staff are pleasant and the menu is different to the rest of the restaurants in the area. Location is very quiet and might be hard to find unless you are staying at one of the local hotels. Good selection of wines by the glass. Tuna and Pork are both... More

Awesome culinary experience. Located within he Baltazar hotel complex. Super selection of over a dozen gins, plus two wonderful tonics, and hand crafted gin and tonics. For dinner we had a $90 bottle of Billecart-Salmon brut rose champagne, silky smooth, WOW. Then the porcine/blue cheese/bacon burger with fries and aioli sauce, best burger I've had anywhere, and with local beef.... More

Cosy casual atmosphere with a chef that sources the best ingredients and uses a high tech grill that is also used by chefs like gordon ramsay and heston blumenthal, whats not to like ? Exactly, proceed with great pleasure a wonderful casual meal awaits you.

We stopped off for a coffee and nibble stop on our way round the sights of Buda. They serve these special doughnuts - actually to call them doughnuts is doing them a disservice - they are delicious, diamond-shaped, freshly-cooked and heaven! The coffee was good too: my husband never drinks more than one cup - and he had two here.... More

Took a risk coming here and it paid off! Great food, really taste good. So happy they did some proper steak cuts and decent wine selection. Well presented and filling size portion we are happy and would recommend it. Interesting choice of decor outside personally I think it doesn't do them justice for the quality food and service it looks... More

Honest and authentic ingredients prepared to perfection in our handmade Josper charcoal grill.. Gourmet street food, food for sharing, serious meats, great vegetarian options. Simple, yet creative dishes. The most notable wines of mostly the Carpatian Basin area. We carry around 200 titles of the most authentic wines in our Winebar. The Bar offers a selection of the best gins the word has to offer. We serve them with our favorite organic grain based Fentiman's tonic water for probably the best Gin&Tonic you have ever had.

Staying in District I / Buda

Neighbourhood Profile
District I / Buda
The historical center to a city with a multifarious and intricate past, Buda has some of the most outstanding buildings in Europe and an enviable natural landscape with stunning views onto the Danube. Centered around the Royal Palace, it provides a glimpse into the golden years of the Austro-Hungarian empire and the lives led by the aristocracy at the time. Matthias Church, beside the palace, hosted many events attended by the royal family and was the chosen place for the coronation of Franz Josef, one of the Hungarian Habsburg kings. Having admired the palace and the church, a visit to Buda will be unforgettable by the stunning and memorable panorama over Pest offered by the seven towered Fishermen’s Bastion.
