We still got this offer in vaci utca, it's close to our hotel. It's very good for lunch, my wife ordered pizza hawaii and for myself hungarian gulash soup with bread. It was very tasteful (recommendation for soup, please ask if you want spicy, the paste you have to insert in soup)! Perfect!

I came here for lunch on my final day after being persuaded to come in when reading the menu at the door. After then reading some dubious reviews in TA I opted for a pizza which was very average, tasty toppings but the base under cooked. I'm glad I just came here for lunch and bit dinner. The restaurant was... More

We were walking around and wanted a quick bite so we stopped here for some goulash. It was fine, but not outstanding. It is conveniently located in the main shopping area, but I think you are better off to try goulash away from the touristy areas like this.

I don't often give negative reviews but this is one... the atmosphere is very nice and our food was delicious even though it took quite awhile ( beef and dumplings and my husband had a venison dish) my complaint is with the way the staff treated the customers. Looking quite miserable to be there and have to work, it was... More

I haven't felt this unwelcome in a restaurant for a very very long time - in fact never. Every time a customer walked in the door the waiters would make faces at each other and look disgusted that someone would be so rude and bother them for a meal. I'm normally a lot more articulate in reviews however ... I... More

Had a great dinner here. Really authentic Hungarian food in a wonderful setting. Nice old rustic atmosphere. Located right on Vaci Utca. Walk down toward the Central Market Hall and after crossing Kossuth Lajos, it is on your left. Our ribs, pork and stuffed cabbage were delicious and if you like cheese, try the cheese plate, made with a variety... More

We chose the set tourist menu. Reasonable cost, 3 courses, plenty to eat. Would chose from the menu next time. Lovely, clean place and staff very attentive.

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
