My wife and I visited Budapest in late July 2016 and had to check out a chimney cake. Molinar’s was the recommended spot and I see why. Check out the attached pictures (unfortunately the site will not let me upload a video of the cakes being made). We ordered half cinnamon sugar and half walnut covered. You can pull off... More

the Kirotos was new to us :) we lived it, and the waiter inside the shop offered us a sample to try it. They were all very friendly and welcoming, and after the sample we get a one directly with no second thought. the Ice cream also was very nice. Very good overall and we enjoyed it.

Went a couple of times during my visit to Budapest. Main reason was the Kiortos but then surprised to find a great cup of coffee (and i tried around 10 different places in Budapest) , the service wonderful. worth visiting!

The cafe / pastry shop is centrally located on Vaci street. There is ice cream, cakes and Kiortos prepared immediately before eating. Very good service, nice Atmosphere, reasonable prices.

I was really looking forward to tasting the famous chimney cake years after I'd tried the first time - and this place did not disappoint at all! Very good taste, and the option of trying different flavors was another plus. I went for half chocolate / half coconut - both highly recommended :)

Watched as everyone served in front of us got fresh hot cakes served in bowls with cream in the middle, then when it was our turn, we just got given a cold pre made one, in a plastic bag. The shop was packed and there was no where to sit down if we wanted to enjoy a hot drink with... More

We had to try these after reading about them . They are dough strips wrapped around a wooden rolling pin and spit roasted . We had ours rolled in cinnamon sugar, but you could have chocolate or nuts. We ate ours standing on the bridge. Just steaming hot bread, msimple but delicious

Poor service of the local cakes. They not take us our reserve for cakes in the breakfast for 35 min and they whant we pay for a inexistent service. Very bad. Not recomend. Is over-ranked.

Thank Tristaina

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
