A very nice wine bar overlooking Stephensplatz and the Basilica. The bar offers a large selection of local wines and a number of Hors d' oeuvres - some very good ones well presented. Too few servers for the large outside seating though - and a 500ft deposit on the wine glasses so you don't steal them.

Was fortunate enough to find myself in front or Divino wine bar. Had a small bowl of ravioli, have to say the best I have tried. That was so good I tried the olive oil cake (scrumptious) You can really taste the quality of the ingredients.Excellent menu and wine selection informed staff. Food was delivered in good time and well worth... More

After touring nearby St Stephens Basilica, stopped here for a quick glass of wine. Bartenders knew their wine - Shout out to Peter. Food looked great (didn't eat anything though). Prices were reasonable. Muscat Lunee was one of the best whites I've ever tried. Go there!

Situated in the Gozsdu alley with a million other hipster bars and restaurants, this place stands out for their excellent wine list and large patio vibe where you can sip on local wines and do some entertaining hipster watching. The food is probably also the among the best you'll find in this exciting alley. They serve their wines in good... More

Don't get me wrong. I visit Divino after reading reviews in Trip Advisor and I was prepared for the self-service and deposit needed for the glass. It was exactly that and it was fine. The place is modern and awesome. If you sit outside, you are treated to the view of Szent István Bazilika. My wine is good. I order... More

Went for an afternoon tipple only to sit there for 15 min with no service only to approach the bar to be told its self service (which is fine ) but then after basically looking at the barstaffs blank face when I asked her to suggest a wine she tells me that as I was sat outside it's table service.... A huge selection of Hungarian wines with very helpful bar staff. Don't forget there is a deposit on your glass which you can get back. We just had it taken off of the bill on our last round of wine. Great place to chill out and watch the world go by whilst having a bubbly atmosphere

Divino was recommended by a friend and we visited the wine bar near the Basilica. The space is welcoming and bustling but the concept is a bit confusing for the uninitiated. Eventually we figured out that you order your wine up at the bar and bring it to your table There is no line, you just stand at the bar... More

This bar, outsider it's good wine, offers what can described as the best Parma type sliced ham in Hungary. Trust me, you will not be disappointed¡ Ask for a table outside with a view to St. Stephan's Cathedral.

Our hotel was near the opera, so every day after visiting Budapest's highlights, we came here for a good glass of wine. Twice, we shared here a delicious plate of cheese & ham, because we were too tired to go to a restaurant. We liked the open air athmosphere and the easy going staff. Every time we had a nice... Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
