This was very close to where we were staying. We tried the Langosh which was cheap and filling. Staff were friendly and we were served quickly. Certainly a good choice for cheap and filling eats and there is plenty of choice on the menu.

A very small restaurant, but quite cozy. The staff is quick and friendly. The food is simple, but good. I can really recommend the vegetarian langosh!

Decided to come here in early evening on reading how busy this gets. Good plan as it soon started to fill up and with little room between tables, would have become a bit too cosy. I had the paprika chicken and my husband the beef stew burger. Both delicious and vey reasonably priced. Only disappointment were the chips with the... More

Drum cafe is our favorite Hungarian cafe. Their traditional Hungarian food is great, their beef golash language is highly recommended.

I find it funny because it is really quite difficult to find a good goulash in Budapest. It is either not good or expensive but no in here, Drum Cafe is totally opposite. Prices are really budget and low, food quality is good. What else to look? It is usually crowded - that is the best proof of quality they... More

This resturant was very intresting. The food was very good. Reasonably priced . The service was great. From those aspects i highly recommed to check this place out. Only 2 things bothered me in the resturant 1. This is not a orthrthedox kosher resturant . They have some jewish items on the menu BUT it is not Kosher. Could be... More

We had two three course dinners with a pint of local beer all for approximately E15!! There was traditional goulash soups and goulash beef for mains and a chicken dish - both desert cakes were delicious. There is plenty to do in the vicinity after dinner. Service was fast and reasonable considering it was constantly busy.

We got there around 2:30PM and there was a line of waiting people. We through: good food, great price or both? Guess what? Both! And a good service too! Definitely worth it! Don't miss it!!!

I just arrived today. And I had had a very good expression of this city. But this restraunt made Budapest the worst to me. The food was quickly served. After I finished the food, I asked the check for three times but staffs never listened. I went to the counter by myself and paid. But they did not calculate correctly... More

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
