Popped in for a quick lunch with the hope to get a nice, hot goulash soup and weren’t disappointed. The service was quite neutral, not overly friendly but not unfriendly either. The food came quick and was very good. We had the said goulash soup...More

Stumbled upon this restaurant in a cool part of town. Very affordable. Large portions. Good service. Great taste of Hungarian cuisine. Relaxed atmosphere. The langos is worth splitting, unless you’re starving, and pairs well with a bowl of goulash.

During my visitim Budapest I've been in this restaurant three times. It' very welcoming, in the evening time becoming busy and the restaurant is full, but big groups are welcomed as well. Serves great traditional hungarian soups and can find also good homemade mains. I...More

Beautiful wee restaurant in centre of Budapest. Staff were great and very friendly. For bottle of wine, pint of beer, 2 starters, 2 mains and 3 puddings (12% service charge included) it cost £30.

Local restaurant that serves a lot of local dishes. Nice crowded atmosphere. The service was too fast, we didn't finished our starter and already received our main dish. We didn't really enjoyed the whole dish due to that. Very reasonable prices.

We came across this cafe by accident on our first night while walking around looking for somewhere to eat. It appeared busy which we always think is a good indication. It was an amazing place with local Hungarian food - we opted for the langosh...More

Make sure you don’t have breakfast before as it’s so filling - perfect for a brunch if you wake up late. We both enjoyed the langosh, beef or ham & cheese. Enjoy!

We were told it would be difficult to find true Hungarian food at reasonable prices. We found both at the Drum Cafe, which thankfully, was very centrally located. The restaurant is small, as are the tables. If you have a large crowd (5-6 people) you...More

Drum cafe,is the underdog of restaurants. Great and tasty menu. Also very affordable, and in a very central location.

District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses
the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and
colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in
an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes
and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic
crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of
the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in
Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly

We found the food all very tasty, and none of it too dry. We generally arrived about 7pm, to a full establishment, but they found space for us, without us having to wait too long. To say generally bad, then why was it full... More
