The café was recommended to us by friends who had visited a couple of weeks before. We weren't disappointed! We chose a meat platter each but you can get one to share. The food was great, as was the service. We ate here twice during our stay and would recommend it to anyone.

We stopped here for a quick coffee and this was extended due to the lovely atmosphere, delightful choice of cocktails and prime location. It was very popular and the waiters were extremely friendly.

You can sit and watch the world go by, eating or just to have a drink. The staff are very friendly with speedy service. We ate late one night here......I had smoked Salmon Salad with bread and my husband chose Goulash Soup, both were superb. Anna Cafe is situated on the very edge of the town centre, so it's not... During our trip to Budapest, we visited the Anna Café twice for breakfast. The coffee was lovely (tried the Latte and the Cappunchino) and the breakfasts were even better! We tried the continental breakfast which was much better than at other places that we visited. We also tried the fruit salad and the Croissant with eggcream and bacon - I... More

We had a snack here on our first day in Budapest as we hadn't really got our bearings and this was in a great location. Unfortunately when we were there it was very cold and the cafe was also cold. The staff were friendly and service was efficient. Our food was fine - we just got sandwiches and a coffee.... More

Dropped in for a coffee escaping from the rain. After seeing the food coming out to adjacent tables we had to have lunch. Seems very popular with locals which is a good sign and very good service from friendly staff.

Ok breakfast but slow service. Good coffee and good food. A bit expensive compared to the cafe's and restaurants away from vaci street.

This is a nice cafe with a really lovely outdoor seating area. There's a lot of people watching to do in this area, just on the Pest side of the Liberty Bridge. I had a winter coffee cocktail, which was excellent, and my husband had a double latte (which is pretty small, and seems to be the largest coffee on... More

We ordered sets of breakfast that had a lot of items in the photo (orange juice, eggs, Marmelade, bread, ...). It was the most expensive breakfast that we had in the fourth days we spent in Budapest. The reality was very different... The Juice was served in a shot glass (50ml) and the egg was frozen! We gave them some... More

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
