We had evening meal there. They have outdoor seats, ground floor and 1st floor seats. The restaurant decoration is very cozy. I had beefcheek and my boyfriend had day's fish. The waiter told us the beefcheek has been pre-cooked/processed for 8 hours(if i recall correctly), it is quite delicious. But I like my boyfriend's fish better. The music is bit... More

Booked this place in January, not sure how busy it get but it was for May. Read many reviews so thought this was a great place to try wine and food. Service very good 😊 not sure what wine to choose so she let us taste a couple that we were unsure off. Portion sizes are very good for the... More

This restaurant is worth visiting. It looks nice, the staff is very friendly and service minded. The food looks and tastes delicious. Due to stomache problems I couldn't finish my diner and they were so nice to give me a to go bag so I could enjoy later my delicious cheesecake. And it was also delicious!

We had a lovely meal here, our main courses and deserts did not disappoint 👍🏼 The staff were really friendly and knowledgeable about the food There is a taster menu with paired wines. With local sourced wines and sparkling wine and beer competed with some of the French that we have tried. The menu is either French or Hungarian. The... More

We had a late booking after a Sunday night-time sight seeing boat trip on the River Danube. This is a popular restaurant so book in advance. There was live music playing downstairs whilst we dined upstairs. There are specials displayed on the board on the wall or the a la carte menu, which also had a choice of two taster... More

We came across this restaurant courtesy of a recommendation from a local friend. Couldn't get in the first night, so booked the following night. Warm welcome, great live music, attentive waiters, and excellent wine and food menu. Fish soup and lemon desert were spectacular, but the special lamb dish, delicious as it was, tasted more like pork than lamb. Do... More

We stayed at the Budapest Heritage Guest House which is the house beside Borsso. We ate twice at Borsso, the food was excellent both times and service really good. They have a great understanding of the wine selection they have.

The best meal of our trip (despite a visit to a Michelin starred restaurant!). When we arrived we found there had been a mix up on our biking time between our hotel and the restaurant, but despite being full, the waiter sat us down with a glass of bubbles each and quickly found is a table. Service was attentive and... More

We ate here on a busy Saturday night but the food and service were still excellent and the live music was an added bonus- a fabulous meal and a great atmosphere.

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
