On a cold night in January, it was a relief & a pleasure to eat here. In the Intercontinental so the spectacular view. Caters well for the business traveller offering decent steak & chips but some nice takes on traditional Hungarian food. Very pleasant, efficient service. Smaller portions - which is a compliment. Very nice setting. Reasonably priced for what... More

The location on the Danube is excellent. You can enjoy your breakfast or just your coffee in the morning or you can have a lunch or dinner. The food was not so great but this restaurant is all about the view.

Beautiful location to watch the sunset right alongside the Danube and overlooking the Buda Castle. Pity the food was not that great, in all honesty a bit of a tourist trap but we chose it for location as we had planned a night time river cruise. The beer was OK, the wine awful and the food was palatable. No photos... More

Went her twice in a few days. On both occasions the food was excellent and this was matched by the service. On the first occasion we had not booked and when we got there the best tables had gone but we still had a great view of the river and all the passing night life. So we booked for the... More

The food here was excellent. Me and my girlfriend went for the tasting menu with wine and it was fantastic. It really was delicious. The views from the outside are amazing also. The one thing that wasn't so good was the atmosphere. It was empty during a June evening. I would most definitely go back here again.

Giving this place an extra point for their amazing location. We sat there and people watched for awhile, listening to the tour groups go by. The breakfast was a great deal, but my eggs were a little underdone. That's my opinion but others may disagree since it is personal preference. Had a ham and cheese omelette and coffee.

The title sums it up - excellent setting with great staff and good food at a reasonable price for Budapest.

7 of us dined here both nights we were in Budapest. That in itself is a compliment to this restaurant. The food and presentation were excellent. The setting perfect. The service excellent.

My goodness, the view is amazing (sit at the window near the Danube), especially in the evening when the sun sets. The only part that would be better is being on the roof top. We went up to my partner's aunt and uncle's hotel room that was facing the Buda Castle and we took some excellent pictures. The food was... More

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
