Went here for a New Year meal, very nice decor, polite servers and good food.
Ordered the standard beef burger which was very good, partner had a non- meat blue cheese spaghetti which she enjoyed.
Other peoples steak looked very nice and they were keen to ensure peoples food was cooked correctly.
Only thing that let them down slightly is that we didn’t receive any water for the table and the service was slightly disjointed but I suppose on a busy New Years service this is to be expected..

As a couple we wandered into this place and were well received by nice staff and Fanni was our waitress for the night. We had seen the chefs suggestions outside on a chalkboard. We both picked the beef rib on beet puree and grilled vegetables. It was very tasty and well presented. As it was a cheap dish it was not a big portion but every bite was delicious. We had some room and both had a dessert. That was even better. A true discovery. Thank you Fanni for the great service and complimentary Hongarian drink.

Looking for our last dinner in Budapest, we stumbled upon Meat Heaven while perusing their menu and other menus on the neighboring block. We decided on Meat Heaven and was immediately comfortable indoors in the warm and cozy dining room. Our waiter, and his co-waitstaff partner, were an entertaining duo, making great conversation and banter with each other. We got there just before a dinner rush, a good thing, as our waiter was able to walk us over to the temperature controlled dry beef ager in the dining room and explained each cut, each particular cut of beef characteristics, and where it fell on the taste spectrum. My son and I each picked a T-Bone, my other son and wife got the Wagyu burgers. We had goulash and grilled octopus to start which was outstanding. I cant say enough about the bartender, a true craftsman. Overall we nailed our last night dinner choice in Budapest. My only regret is that I didn't ask the price for our T-Bones ahead of time as I was surprised by the price when I got the bill....could be my fault for not asking. Overall, HIGHLY recommend this place for the diner looking for an outstanding steak dinner/steakhouse.

We visited the restaurant in December 2022 and the food was fine, nothing special but fine. However the service was quite poor. We had to wait 1h45min for the main course… Considering that the food was nothing special (and given the price (!)) I would not recommend this place.

Our restaurant is especially popular during the holidays. We try to manage the reservations in relation to the capacity of the kitchen. But sometimes, especially if a large table party is late and guests arrive at the same time, the waiting time is truly extreme. We try to compensate and look for a good solution. Came here for a meal with 2 friends and my partner. The starter and drinks were nice, however the main course of steak had to be sent back twice for all of our party members, and came back wrong both times, at which point we asked for the bill and left early without eating the main course. (Eg: medium steaks coming out very rare for 3 of our table members, and one medium-rare also coming out rare for one member).
The redeeming factor to this disaster was that the waiting staff were extremely friendly and attentive to our situation, which is why I gave this review 2 stars instead of 1. I genuinely felt embarrassed for the waiter and assured him the problem is not his fault, as this was the chef that kept getting the orders wrong and I feel as though a chef cooking steak ought to know the done-ness and internal temperatures needed for our selections (which was not apparent due to the consistent mistakes).
The manager said we can leave without paying for the starter and drinks, which I felt was needed and appreciated by our group due to the frustrations we faced which spoiled our time here. Hopefully this was a one off, as the vast majority of reviews are positive - but unfortunately I will not be revisiting anytime soon.

Visited this modern looking restaurant and was lead by our waiter Peter to try one if their steaks.
We chose a T- bone to share between two.
My title 'beware' refers to the pricing. As a visitor from the UK we pay for our meals as a set price. It was not explained to us that steaks at this restaurant are priced by the 100g. Cost of a single steak .. £85!
Equating to a very expensive choice.
Served with a small side of fries, pumpkin and two sauces. Was a workout for the jaw to say the least, struggled to cut even with a steak knife.
Total meal price came to £130.
( 2 beers and a wine) and the steak!
Disappointed with experience.
Maybe it was our naivety in the pricing structure in Budapest.. but going forward Peter should have explained better. For better reviews I suggest more clarity is needed.

Thank you very much for honouring us with your visit. We are sorry to read that due to misunderstandings we were unable to provide a lasting experience. I have notified my staff to ensure that they provide extensive information next time they make a recommendation. However, Peter, as a true host, only wanted to help you with the choice. It is stated on the menu that our steak prices are per 100 grams like so many other steak restaurants around the world. More than once we have indicated to a guest what the price of the steak of his choice will be and he has been offended (thinking he can't pay, why are we telling him the price etc). We try to find a balance between giving fair information without upsetting our guests - sometimes we fail, but we try to learn from all these negative reviews and find the balance.

We chose our own selection of meat from what was presented to us if you choose to have a steak. It is meant to be cut off and cooked for you and presented to be very fresh. Our personal feelings were that we were completely conned. The meat tasted like a tough piece of beef joint and not a nice joint! We had 2 drinks each and mash and chips on the side and it was £150. In terms of a English comparison I would say it was like a harvester meal, the steak wasn't actually as nice. It was definitely not worth the money at all and did not taste like a steak. The main waiter that served us was lovely and very attentive and did make our experience nice. Lovely guy. The food was not good and if you go there I would suggest eating from the main menu and not the specials menu and don't get a steak! The other food looked lovely. Better off sticking to street food there as I loved that and it was a third of the cost and much more authentic.

The cocktails were enjoyable and the atmosphere was fine however the service was adequate. The orders were mixed up and they still charged for the mix up. The service price was very overpriced and did not meet the standards. However the food was fine, steaks and sides were tasty, but the sauces were extremely salty and lacked taste.

We had dinner at this restaurant, very nice atmosphere but poor service.
The meat we had was really delicious, there is absolutely nothing to say about this, but the service leaves something to be desired. The boy who served us was still very nice and polite, but there was a lack of attention to certain details, such as the menus left on the table even after the order and the forks changed and not returned unless requested by us. For a restaurant that still has fine and expensive cuts of meat on the menu, there should be more attention. Furthermore, since we were sitting not far from the entrance door, it was very cold.
Another really negative note: the wine list. In our opinion, few (especially the red ones) considering that it is a restaurant that serves almost exclusively meat and with prices extremely high on the original price. Wines from €9 priced at almost €40.
Therefore low value for money. We took a 900 gram American tomahawk with side dish, a tartare appetizer and a €30 wine and spent €200.
We certainly won't return because in Budapest itself we ate in restaurants with equally excellent meat but with better service, with a greater choice of wines and with less mark-up.
We don't give two stars just because the meat was really good, otherwise it's not really worth going.

We went a group of 15 - 6 of us ordered the recommended tenderloin medium done. However, the cut was way too thin and too little. Furthermore, the steak was well done even though we ordered medium rare all of us
The waiter offered us a complimentary desert despite us announcing our concerns about the chef after the first bite
We waited 1,5 hours for the food even though the restaurant was close to empty when we arrived and placed our order

This is our go-to place to eat in all of Budapest! Exceptional food, a relaxing environment, and wonderful professional waiters who provide guidance on the right combination of food, drinks, and deserts. The menu has both contemporary continental and Hungarian dishes with a wide variety of yummy meats and vegetarian options. A special commendation for Attila, a waiter “par excellence” who makes you feel at home and helps you discover new culinary delights. Well worth checking out; your tummy will thank you!

We visited the restaurant with my husband and baby. From the first second, we received outstanding attention and service. The menu contains very special dishes, not to mention the serving. The cotton candy dessert was a fantastic experience for us. I wholeheartedly recommend the place to anyone. I'm sure that no place can provide more attention than Heaven ❤️ Thank you for the experience!

Our group of 7 turned up late without a reservation and Peter, our waiter, was very helpful in moving tables around to accommodate.
Peter then went on to help us choose some meat platters and wine.
The food was presented in a timely manner. It looked good, tasted good and the service totally enhanced the experience.
In summary, not the cheapest restaurant but considering the food, the service, the space and decor it did feel like we had good value for money and we all enjoyed the time we spent at Meat Heaven.
Would recommend.

My waiter Tomi gave good service but unfortunately he was let down by the kitchen.
I waited over 30 minutes for my meal and only got my complimentary bread moments before my food arrived. Perhaps it was because I was alone but other tables got bread before they'd even ordered. The bread was really nice when it did arrive and my classic lemonade was great.
When the food did arrive it wasn't great to be honest. The Meat Heaven burger was a bit overdone and the barbecue sauce was overpowering. Both my fries and grilled vegetables were way too salty and I couldn't finish either as a result. Maybe the steaks are a speciality and better but I'm afraid this experience means I won't be rushing to find out.
