The food is wonderful and they brought it pretty quickly. The shame is that it is so small since they set up a table for you wherever you are without worrying much about whether you will be comfortable. Therefore food 10 and service 5. It is not as cheap as they say, although the quality of the food justifies it.

We were in Budapest for the recent April 25th long weekend. Being on holiday with our daughters who are not lovers of strong Hungarian flavours, we started looking for an Italian restaurant, with the hope of not finding ourselves in the typical tourist place... we therefore arrived almost by chance in this place, where immediately, even though it was full, they worked hard to find us accommodation. The place is small so I recommend booking, which we did for the following evening because we had such a good time that we decided to repeat. We tried both meat, pizza and pasta and there wasn't a single dish that we didn't like. Quick and extremely courteous service (with open kitchen) and excellent ingredients. Absolutely recommended!!!!

What a little gem on a busy side street in the gorgeous Palace district.
We ate here on our first evening and felt like friends ever after as we greeted the friendly staff as we passed by most days on our weeks stay.
Food was delicious, gnocci santorini was simple and rich, baked gnocci in tomatoes with a thick layer of baked mozzerella.
We went back again another evening as the food was too good not to.
This time lighter salads chosen which were huge and delicious.
Staff very friendly and attentive, they readily pop up new tables to accommodate on busy evenings and the whole street vibe was enchanting

The food was average/good, but it's a fairly universal Italian place, difficult to get wrong. The only issue was a £30+ bill for 2 courses and a couple of, (REALLY small) glasses of wine. I'm sure there's much better value to be had elsewhere.

The service was friendly and welcoming, which was a nice start to the evening. However, the kitchen unfortunately missed the mark with the seasoning. The food was overly salted, to the point where it masked the intended flavors of the chili and 'nduja peppers. Instead of a vibrant, spicy dish, all I could taste was salt. While the restaurant itself had an intimate atmosphere, the tightly packed tables felt more cramped than cozy. It seemed as though maximizing seating capacity took priority over diner comfort.

This popular Italian restaurant is just a short walk from the subway station, but a 10-minute walk from Calvin Square. The surrounding area is lined with restaurants and you can eat on the terrace seats on the road, so the atmosphere is quite good. Dinner is crowded, so you may have to wait to get a seat. The pasta was delicious, but the wine was fine. Probably because I ordered cheap wine.

Located just behind the National Museum, Al Dente does not disappoint. It’s a small and atmospheric restaurant, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We both chose a trio of bruschetta to start - delicious. For mains, we both chose the boar ragout. Slightly spicy, it delighted us both. My wife had cannelloni for dessert while I finished with an excellently flavoured pannacotta. The service was pleasant but unobtrusive - an excellent experience

Really great pizza. Chasing the simplicity missing these days we ordered classic tomato bruschetta and it was already a return to Italy after days of spicy and confusing dishes...then the pizza concluded the dinner divinely. Better pizza than many others tried in my homeland, after all a pizza chef is behind a counter and it doesn't depend on the country in which the counter is located, it depends on the pizza chef. A further note, unlike what we have seen so far in Italy, the mushrooms used to season the pizza were sliced at the moment, a detail that caught the eye and in my opinion is a positive note. Cozy place and friendly staff. Highly recommended

Great for late lunch! Staff was quiet and atmosphere was cozy.
We ordered two kind of pasta and bruschetta, it was good and tasty.
It would be five star but two minor notes:
- vega pasta should had vegetables accorsing to menu, it had tomato, olives and mushroom. It was good but suprising.
- no vegan options other than bruschetta

I'm Hungarian but I live in Sicily... I'm in Budapest for a few days and my friends and I decided to have lunch in this place.
Very friendly and helpful staff. We chose: three mixed bruschettas, linguine with garlic, chilli oil and prawns, pizza with ham and a pizza with tuna. Everything was excellent, as if it were in Italy. Prices normal.
Well done, congratulations! I'll be back 🤗

Italian restaurant run by a young chef. Not bad location and varied menu. There are some inevitable flaws in the food, as in all Italian restaurants abroad, but overall it is worth a visit. Excellent service.
Come on Carmelo, keep going!

Nice Italian restaurant. The pizzas are good, difficult to comment on the pasta. I took an amatriciana that was a little too spicy and made with linguine. But overall, even though the place is very small, I can say that the dinner turned out to be a pleasant experience.

We went to this restaurant which was located near the hotel we were staying in. It's small inside but the food is really excellent, the pizza we got to share was also good, very similar to our Neapolitan pizza. We took 3 first courses and 3 second courses to share, because they were abundant. The tiramisu is also good. We were very satisfied.
