Balaton Restaurant is serving one of the best Hungarian Cakes. We know this restaurant since the 80's. Last year we decided that this time we have to visit Cracow. Our first steps were to Balaton. The taste is still the best+ hungarian wine!

Enjoy Hungarian food in Krakow and watch the ever fascinating, pedestrian traffic on Grodzka street from a patio table or window view. You will be pleasantly surprised by the quality and flavours in the Goulash soup, the stuffed red pepper and the lecho with sausage. The trio of shredded salads (red cabbage, carrot and beet) was a perfect addition to... More

When I first walked into the restaurant I was a little bit sceptical that the food was going to be nice. But I learnt my lesson very quickly. The food was really delicious. It was very traditional polish food and it tasted like the person who had cooked it cooked it with love. The flavour of the food was sensational.... More

We were a party of 13 and stumbled on this restaurant and dined there because they could accommodate our group. Our group agreed this was the best meal of our entire trip. The zebrokwa shots (Polish vodka with bison grass) were free flowing. I started my meal with the chicken soup with dumplings. This was clearly homemade. It was full... More

we came here by a friend's recommendation, really great Hungarian food. It was the first time I tried potatoes pancakes and loved them. We shared the meal and they where nice enough to give it in separate dishes.

Thought I'd try as close to hotel and advertised in travel guides. Phoned to reserve, but had no need as place was empty! Felt unsure, and wanted to run, when I realised we were the only ones, but went for it. Table was set up for us with a lovely candle and flower arrangement, the waiter was very pleasant, and...
