This restaurant was recommended by staff at our hotel. We dined upstairs and decided to try the Beef Neck, which was the waiter's personal favourite; wife enjoyed the chicken schnitzel. Both dishes were amazing and very generous portions. Highly recommend this place.

I've ordered the steak and it was amazing!!! I actually wanted to order one more because it was so good. The red wine was also good. Great place!

Stopkova Pivnice is my most favourite pub in Brno. Great meal, the best beer and pleasant stuff. There's one disadvantage, It's often really crowded, but that's a proof it´s really favourite pub/restaurant in Brno. I can recommended it!

We visited here with friends from Brno. And you know if the locals eat here, it must be good. I had the Moravian sparrow and husband had the Pilsen goulash with potato pancakes. Both were delicious. Large portions and not too pricey.

Stumbled upon this place on a busy Saturday evening. Restaurant had an old world beer house vibe but with a funky atmosphere. Beers were fantastic, served appropriately in tankards. Food was the usual stick to your ribs Czech staples. Totally recommend the Kolkovka platter with...More

Myself and my husband visited Stopkova for the 5th time last night and as usual it didn't disappoint. Having read some of the reviews I can see how people might think the waiters are rude but I think it's just the Czech way they are...More

The famous Stopek's Beer House has always been one of the pillars of Czech social and cultural life in Brno. There has been a pub here since the second half of the 19th century. It became famous with the arrival of the new owner, the genius Jaroslav Stopka, who took over the original Jonak's Beer House in 1910. Period advertisements always declared that the best Pilsner beer could be had at Stopka's. The pub retained its character and atmosphere even after its extensive modernisation. The author of the façade of the beer house is Czech painter and graphic artist Láďa Novák (1865 - 1944), a well-know Prague bohemian and also the author of the decorations on the U Fleků Pub in Prague, was also repaired and renovated. Pilsner Urquell and dark Velkopopovický Kozel, Fénix and Birell Light are all on tap. The head chef at Stopek's Beer House, Matěj Kovacs, recommends the excellent rosemary flavoured roasted lamb hock.
