Very nice place, great atmosphere! We visited Kolonial last December, 3 days before Christmas. It was not crowded, but there were a lot of people celebrating, drinking and eating different kind of meats and beers. We tasted and approved everything. Although we arrived a little late ( they were almost closing ) the service was absolutely friendly, so if you... More

We visited Koloniál and had a company Xmass party here! The location - close to the center, close to the metro, close to the Museum of diamonds etc... No problem with a reservation of seats, very good service and very good food (but the standard offered by surrounding restaurants in Prague center, so maybe little bit fantasy to be different... Walked in on early on a Saturday evening, they found us a small table and the whole place was humming! Really nice atmosphere. Ordered drinks and checked out the menu. I had the Farmer Platter and hubby had the ribs. We noticed that the pork knee was extremely popular. Meal was great and the service was excellent. No service charge... More

Stumbled across this restaurant on walk back from Charles Bridge. The staff were extremely welcoming and found us a table straight away. The sausage casserole was amazing as was the dark beer. Clean and quick service. Really nice place.

Stumbled by this restaurant by fluke and so glad we did. We are cyclists, so it immediately spoke to us. Great decor, really cool atmosphere and super delicious food. Our experience was so great, that we had dinner there twice.

Ordered half a boneless chicken as only eat white meat. When the leg arrived I asked where the breast was and was told I had been given half a boneless chicken! The waitress was quite rude when I explained this wasn't half a chicken but she insisted it was and the standoff continued. Customer service obviously not a priority here.

Avoid it, or take drinks only! Food is quite bad and overpriced, you will find better pubs nearby. Plus: Quite nice sitting area, good beer and latte Minus: Higher prices, average food, small portions, you pay for something which should served automatically with meal (sauce) We ordered 3 meals and drinks (paid about 1100-1200 czk/50 eur) ). Two portions of... More

Kolonial is a modern fashion style restobar. It have a very interesting design that include rare bikes and provide you typical (and very good) Chec Beer! Enjoy this place in the downtown.

We visited this place twice on our 3 day break in Prague as we were staying in apartments just opposite this modern bar. On the first night, we had delicious cocktails and good service. However, on our second visit, an extremely rude waitress with short blonde hair seemed to take an instant dislike to our request to order drinks!!! She... More

So I am an huge fan of cycling so seeing a place decorated with bikes and bike parts I had to try. The food was very very good and the service team was fast and polite. Prices are ranging from under 200 kr for a gulash up to 400 for a large pork knuckle so around the standard. Beer ar... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
