Really enjoyed the food and quite local feel of the place. Typical service. Would highly recommend local cuisine.

We had a great beef Gulasch here for a fair price. The waiter was very friendly. Overall a good restaurant!

The food is great here, I ate a veal meal and was very well cooked, also not expensive. The menu is poor is choices, you don't have dozens of meals to chose from, but the one that are here I am sure that are great. I will definitely come again if I visit Prague.

Restaurant was dead when we arrived but waiter was extremely friendly and spoke excellent English. Husband had beef tongue and I had camemberg for starter, great size and delicious. I loved my main of braised beef in sauce with dumplings, and he had beautiful pork neck in gravy with cabbage and dumplings, both with refreshing pilsner. Hearty food at a... More

The service was good. The food is cheap and really good. Try pork knee or tatar beefsteak. The beefsteak will you gat prepared 50% and you will be able to finish it by yourself adding spices by yourself :)

This is a pretty good, non-smoking restaurant, just 3 minutes walk from the very center of Prague, Vaclavske namesti (Wenceslas Square). Good meals, awesome Pilsner Urquell beer. Not much of a wine choice, though. Service could have been a bit faster by my standards.

The service was terrible. Very long waits before anyone served us. When food arrived it was cold so I asked them to warm it up. When it eventually arrived it was half the size with no goulash sauce. I said that I no longer wanted it and did not want to pay for it. They threatened me with the police... More

Dear guests!!! This is the first time that me, as the owner of the restaurant, am answering the review from Tripadvisor. I decided to do so because your review is not based on truth and you have sent the same reviews from the same table. We have to protect our business and I am not willing to accept a negative... An idyllic and cozy basement restaurant with a selection of local dishes. Music wasn't too loud. Clean and nice. Service was good. The dishes we tried were good and freshly made from proper ingredients

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
