I hate to write negative reviews, but this place really deserves it. We should have known better when the waitress kept begging us to come in. She brought our drinks quick enough and then disappeared. Even though there were not many people in there and we ordered simple meals, it took a long time to get our food. It finally... More

The woman working here was lovely. Food was tasty but a bit on the cold side, it was getting cold in Prague so I would like a nice hot meal to warm up with. Strudel was delicious.

The service was a bit obtrusive when we wanted to talk and just drink beer with my husband. The food was ok, we took sausages, pork shank and beer. We were quite surprised when a waiter requested minimum 10% tips which were not included into the bill and this looked quite strange to us. In all restaurants which I visited... More

I was looking for a vegan restaurant down the road when I came across this place, and having walked around by this time looking for it for quite some time was starving hungry and so ventured inside, despite the lack of vegetarian choices on the menu. Only 2 choices were available - a salad of some description and a Spanish... More

First, my daughter in law is from the Czech, and I was born and raised in the United States. I mention that to state that both of us are in agreement about this place. We were returning from the Petrin and making our way to the Palace/Castle compound. As always, we could not decide were to eat. I had to... More

With a bunch of mixed reviews we were cautious but gave it a try. Our waitress was friendly and helful. We have 4 wonderful meals, maybe the best we had in prague. The gulash soup was not hot, but that si the only complaint anyone had. Great value , great food, and great service. We had the grilled plate for... More

My friends and I were quite hungry after exploring Petřín and the rest of Prague, so we were looking for a place to eat some good Czech food and were ushered in by this friendly lady at the front of this restaurant. She told us that they served delicious authentic Czech food - perfect. We sat in the garden area... More

Honestly the worst food I've ever eaten, service wasn't great, would definitely recommend avoiding this place. We ordered pork and we got ham. The menu said we'd get spinach we didn't get any. The waitress also demanded to be tipped...

We went there because it was 50 meters from our hotel, the Golden Star. We wanted something close and it looked authentic, and we hoped for a typical Mala Strana atmosphere. Well, we did have the ambiance inside. We also were sited in an internal backyard court one may find claustrophobic, however we did not and actually we liked it... More

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighbourhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
