Excellent food, service and all for fair price. Ask for their half dark beer. Definitely worth of visit.

Goulash insubstantial. Was hoping for a bowl of really nice seasoned stew with dumplings but received a plate of stewing beef with a little gravy. Other meal was equally poor. Service lackluster. Not particularly cheap. Next door looked better!

This place is on the tram route and might not be the obvious eating spot. Nevertheless three of us called in and were made very welcome. The food is largely Czech influenced and is all the better for that. This is not 'fine' dining but the food was well cooked, the beer and wine very tasty and the bill reasonable.... More

We went to this place several times and really liked it, that is why last time we invited there our friends who were visiting us. Before we usually ordered beer, Hermelin, duck and starters. This time we decided to amaze our guests with Czech speciality - pork knee. I know that many places have it pre-cooked, but this one was... More

I went to this place and I found it really tasty and good prices, is not far from the castle and the prices are lower. I tried rabbit with another typical food and it was awesome, also the beer is good and cheap, if you are in Prague, at least you have to go once

As I expected it wasn't that special. The food was fresh but just average. So nothing special. If you are shopping it will be easy choice for a short but full meal

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
