We really enjoyed our meal here, the meals was authentic Czech food and delicious. Our waiter was very efficient and attentive and the atmosphere was brilliant. Very reasonably priced - recommended.

If you want tasty local food with generous portions at a good price and are not looking for a fine dining experience then this place is a good choice. The restaurant was fairly empty when we arrived even though it was a Saturday night and that's never a good sign but it did fill up later on. My husband had... More

We had a late lunch here when we had just arrived in snowy Prague. It was very quiet - only 5 other diners when we got there - but it was cosy and warm and the two staff working there were lovely. Our waitress couldn't have been nicer. She spoke very good English and when we asked her to help... More

We went back to this restaurant twice. The food is very good. Their specialty is a roast knuckle of suckling pig, which is huge and takes about 45 minutes to cook. Don't have an entree if ordering this. Their other Czech food is excellent. Their Svíčková the traditional Czech dish is excellent as as their sweets. Like most Czech establishments... More

Called on the off chance for a beer. Full of post working week locals and the food looked OK, so we thought we'd give it a go... we had the duck & schnitzel, both very tasty traditional food with a large portion. Our waiter was very pleasant.

Stopped by for drinks. The staff was kinda rude right after they realized that we were there only for coffee and drinks. Tried to get some Service and the waiter Just gave us a glance and walked away. Coffee was ok and the prices were not too high, though its not actually a cheap place.

Well, the beer was good! The waiter couldn't understand czech and was new today. He proceeded to mess up the order with the wrong side dish and the starters and main course came together. The food was basic though quite tasty but was cold on cold plates. The bill needed correcting To be fair, they did apologise. Overall not a... More

First of all the waitress didn't even say hello or anything and just threw the menu cards on our table. Overall she was very unprofessional and not kind at all. The food was average - we got chicken livers and there was way too much wine used in this meal. They do not have any soups in the menu what... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
