Good value meal right beside our hotel. Such cute candle light restaurant and perfect for a nice simple romantic dinner. Portions are huge so you wont leave hungry.

After seeing so many good reviews, I too wanted to try this restaurant and see what the fuss is about. The restaurant itself is very quaint and cute, and has a romantic feel. The menu has a good selection of meals that all sounded better than the other. I tried the duck livers with cranberry and mint, and had the... More

We noticed the Michelin sign on the door on the way to the monastery, but the plan was to visit the monastery brewery that day. Unfortunately it was all full and the waiters were not really trying to find a place for us. So we moved back to "that door" and were positively surprised! The place is very warm and... More

Typically, I try to avoid restaurants so close to a major tourist destination. This is very close to the entrance to the Prague Castle. The food was some of the best I had eaten in Prague. I had the Crispy Duck. My wife really enjoyed the Beef Straganoff. The decor was unique and interesting. Free wifi!

Yesterday we went to eat at this beautiful restaurant. We were staying just up the road and as it was our last night in Prague and we still had to do our luggages we decided to find somewhere near and thanks to TripAdvisor we found this little restaurant just close to the hotel. During the day we booked for the... More

Had our first meal in Prague at this restaurant and we were pretty blown away. We had the Pork Loin and the steak and both was above expectations. The portion size was huge and we didn't had space for dessert. Will definitely revisit should we be in Prague again.

I had a dinner at this restaurant and it made my trip even greater. The restaurant is very cosy with romantic athmosphere. The candles and the rustic furniture give a really warm feeling to the place. The service is great, waiter was very kind and welcoming. And of course the most important part, the food was authentic and just magnificent.

I had made reservations for Rainer Maria Rilke Restaurant in advance and was very happy that I did. The food was truly excellent. Great traditional Czech food served by a fantastic wait staff. The restaurant itself had a nice warm feel to it. For the service and quality of the food we both thought that it was a bargain. I... More

You will find our restaurant in the very heart of Prague, in the place which inspired the famous romantic poet R.M. Rilke. The restaurant provides a calm oasis of gastronomical experience, worth discovering, in the busy, pulsing centre of the town. We build upon the very best of Czech gastronomical tradition. Our cuisine isn't based on extravagancies, but on a straight approach to Czech meals, the freshest local ingredients and humility to the culinary profession. The best proof is the satisfaction of our customers.

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighbourhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
