Maitrea offers very welcome vegetarian takes on local dishes including, of course, goulash! Even my meat-eating companion was happy with his meal.

Looking for vegetarian options we ran into Maitrea, a lovely restaurant in the heart of Prague. Went for dinner, had their Czech specialities (vegetarian goulash, for example). Enjoyed it so much that we returned next day for lunch. Surely one of the favorites spots, check it if you enjoy healthy food in a good ambiance.

Loved to have dinner here. The menu consists of some healthy and tasty dishes. Take the quesadillas or veggie burger! And the white wine from Czech is also pretty good.

We found this incredible vegetarian/vegan restaurant in the centre of Prague. Delicious dishes and charming staff. The ambience is really chill and kind of romantic. We highly recommend this restaurant for a couple, friends, business and lonely travel. Perfect!

Went here for a late lunch and it was packed so the food took a while to come. But with a glass of wine and good company this was ok, and my veggie burger was definitley worth the wait!

Our evening was perfect. We had a table downstairs it was so beautiful. We had a starter to share with a mixture of dips and breads. Wine was good too, there was so much to choose from for the main course. We finish with a lovely pudding too. It was very reasonably priced for the excellent food and quality. I... More

Service was average; but it did not ruin our evening as the food was so delicious! Would recommend getting a table downstairs as the atmosphere is better. Good price as well

Great place to find alternatives to Prague's meat-heavy culture. Very large menu with something for everyone, nice atmosphere, and good prices. I was there on a cold January day -- not exactly tourist high season -- and a reservation was definitely required nevertheless.

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
