Located in the heart of Prague 1, this was one of my favorite meals on my trip. The food was high quality and the atmosphere is warm. The staff was extremely nice, offering to make us a piece of fish or anything else we might want that we didn't see on the menu. Highly recommended.

I had dinner at La Finestra, the service was good and typical as what would be expected, but what I care about is the food. On that front, the food was ok, nothing great and nothing bad; considering this is rated as one of Prague's top restaurants I wasn't wowed. It wasn't something that would make me want to come... Dear n0tj0ining, Your incredibly vague review and your marvelously anonymous nickname makes me wonder if you ever visited La Finestra or not. The fact that this is your one and only review, does not argue in favor of your cause. Nevertheless, I am sorry if the food was not up to your expectations and I would love to know more... More

Perfect Italian restaurant in center Prague. Food is modern Italian and perfectly prepared and served. Great wine card and help for finding the right fit. Service eminent.

I have reviewed many restaurants on TA in many different countries and have visted many more. This is the best one i have reviewed to date. Absolutely wonderful from the welcome, service, atmosphere and of course the food along with a great choice of Italian wines. I will never forget the amazing meal we enjoyed here.

My second visit in two years to this excellent restaurant. Ambient surroundings. Superb service from beginning to end. Easy to compose the starter with only Italian Parma ham and cheeses. The monkfish with meunière with truffles was out of this world. Perfectly made and with tastes you can only dream of. Best espresso north of Italy accompanied by a vast... More

Honestly, the informal sister restaurant just next door was reasonably priced and wonderful food. Fresh ingredients, nice service, and just informal.

If you want to enjoy a good Italian meal in a cozy place, visit this place. They offer not so many options, but all of them are extraordinary. Definitely worth it if you want to discover something new or just try great implementation of known deserts.

We chose La finestra to spend on our last night in Praha. It was absolutely wonderful, from the moment the nice waiter took our jackets untill he got those back to us. Finest italian cuisine, wine cellar you can't even dream of, and most of all: nice people really caring if you're spending a good time. The Best restaurant we... More

We made sure we reserved a restaurant for our last night on our trip to Prague as it was a Saturday. La Finestra was simply sensational! A great welcome and we were given a good table. The service from the outset was first class. The food was wonderful and the wine list was one of the most comprehensive I have... More

We weren't quite prepared when we chose this restaurant - I had read that it was good, but I didn't know that it was REALLY GOOD, perhaps at a higher level than what we were expecting. Our waiter Jan made us very comfortable, even though we were a bit out of our element. The food was amazing, and the service... More

Description
La Finestra in Cucina was opened in 2009 as the second restaurant of Italian chef Riccardo Lucque. The restaurant features an open kitchen where you can observe Chef Tomáš Černý performing his artistry as he prepares your chosen meal. La Finestra specializes in meat dishes. Beside the culinary experience, La Finestra wants to build the largest wine cellar of quality Italian wines in the Czech Republic. The adapted wine cellar was installed for this purpose.

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
