The highlight of this restaurant is its location. We got a table outdoors (on request) and it was an enjoyable first meal in Prague, watching other tourists buzzing around Old Town Square. The food was good, nothing spectacular.

We were looking for a good place to eat some sausages and indeed we did!! Everything was of good quality: the sausage itself (huge!) the horseradish, mustard, white wine and coffee!! A little bit expensive perhaps for what we ordered.

We wandered into White Horse for dinner while on a family vacation. The food was quite good. My son particularly liked the goat cheese salad. My steak was a good cut of meat, ordered medium and arrived that way. The setting in an old cellar was charming--ancient arches, exposed brick, nice lighting. I could have done without the live music--a... More

Right off the square this great location restaurant has a great cellar. The ceiling is high enough so you don't feel cramped or claustrophobic.

If you go, make sure you go downstairs to the historical cellar. We went for dinner, there was a fantastic piano player that really set the mood. The bar is great and so is the table seating. We had fresh pasta dishes and traditional Czech dishes. It is in a great location in town, but absolutely ask to go downstairs... More

Went there for dinner and we sat in the underground cellar which was really good experience. The meals were a little overpriced but the salmon pasta was very good and the goulash good. The meals did take quite a long time to come out even though they told us initially that it was quite for them and the waiting time... More

It's lovely to sit in the cellar of this restaurant although it is also possible to sit upstairs or outside. It's in a great location and we found the staff to be very friendly. When we were there, a saxophonist played from 8pm which was a nice touch. It's a beautiful restaurant and we both enjoyed the traditional food: roast... More

The restaurant is downstairs from our hotel, so we were sceptical at first.. Then we had a quick lunch and it was good. We chose it again for dinner on our last night and had a wonderful time. There was lovely live music and the food was just great. Also the service was perfect!

Ended up with a meal. Looked at the menu and it was enough to persuade me and the wife to give the food a try. Wow had the goulash in bread very very good full of flavour expensive but it is in the centre of the old town so you expect to pay more but you won't be disappointed. Nice... More

Old Town Sq. is like The Center of the Tourist Universe at Prague, therefore many restaurants do not have the best reputation. White Horse is an exception and I can recommend it without any doubts. The entry hall is nothing special, however when you descend the stairs into a stylish Gothic cellar everything falls into place: dim lighting, modern furniture,... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
