The place is always full and you can not be surprised; the building is in city center, historic, in great condition and with amazing menu and staff. In rush hours, the reservation in advance is a must! Not suited for a "burger" family lunch, more like couples or group of friends who are looking for more serious time, in the... More

If you are looking for an authentic Czech Restaurant, this may not be ideal. However the restaurant serves excellent continental fare in very good ambience . Even on a weekday , we just about managed to get a table so might make sense to reserve in advance. Well located near a tram station. The restaurant also has alimited choice of... More

From the outside very ordinary looking building. However, once inside you are transported to another world of top class eating. Service is perfect. The surround with it's Egyptian theme tiles an décor is great. even the water taps in the toilets are worth a visit to see. we were a group and everything went ever so well.

I'm visiting Prague with my family, we were looking for nice meal out, and we ran into this big surprise. Imperial cafe, has really extra ordinary interior. Look of 1920s inside. Service is absolutely fantastic, person that would give you recommendations to both choice of wine and food. Starters: grilled goat cheese salad, fantastic start of your meal. Main course... More

This restaurant was recommended to us by our AirBnB host so we gave it a try for breakfast on our first day in the city. As it's name suggests, the interior of the restaurant has a very regal look and feel. Entering through the main doorway, you step right into their breakfast buffet. While the selection and variety looked quite... More

We at our last meal in Prague (and our last meal after a three week trip) at Cafe Imperial at the recommendation of our private tour guide (who said it was her favorite restaurant). We could not have been more pleased. We had made a reservation weeks in advance which, unfortunately, was lost -- but the staff, even though the... More

This is one of my favourite places, I just love chef or actually, owner. You can taste Czech classical dished, changed according to modern trends. I just love breakfasts, you can have all you can eat bar. Be prepared to wait in queue in peak time.

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
