We were recommended this place so thought we would give it a try. The cafe was nicely decorated and looked old and authentic. On looking at the menu and seeing some of the food we decided against ordering. The drinks and food were drastically over priced. In all other bars and restaurants we had paid around £1 per beer, here... More

Cafe Imperial is a beautiful restaurant with traditional Czech food to match. The service was great and it was very reasonably priced.

This place brings you straight to Orient - check out their ceiling! Love their breakfast selection, but beware: eggs florentine are not their strongest side!

This place does a lovely buffet breakfast & the interior of the building is one of the most beautiful in Prague. The service can range from good to a bit unfriendly but, having said that, we come back here for breakfast whenever we're in Prague.

Cafe Imperial is a beautiful restaurant with tiles patterned on the walls and ceiling, polished brass and wood panels. The food is wondrous and the service attentive. For lunch one day my husband had the rabbit with mustard sauce, and I had duck confit, which came with red cabbage and potato dumplings. For dessert Ed and I split a tasty... More

We came a group of five, waited 25 min to have a table.had nice service but the actual dishes were very disaapointing. We ordered a lot of various dishes- from foua gra, veal shnitzel, duck, onion soup-all the "recommended" ones. Nothing was special and for some of the dishes the taste was unbearable. Very far from the overhall ratings.

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
