Had a great coffee time. Food was over salted though what a pity, otherwise it would be delicious. Great desert - chocolate fondant.

Having stayed a couple of years ago at this hotel I wanted to take my daughter to see the Cafe and it's Art Deco decoration. We ordered a couple of cappuccinos and I think they must have mislaid our order as we waited about 10 minutes however they soon realised and were very apologetic and a waiter arrived with a... More

This is a beautiful old building with classic cooking and perfect service. We arrived at about 12 and just managed to get a table. We tried two of the Czech classics; veal schnitzel and beef in cream sauce with dumplings. The mash potato with the schnitzel was the best I've ever tried. The waitress even noticed my partner was enjoying... More

Loved our first dinner in Prague at this art deco restaurant. Food was traditional and very good. Service was 1st class and we enjoyed everything about the meal experience.

My wife had found something on the internet that she fancied trying and that was Dill soup. Apparently the best place in Prague to get this was Cafe Imperial. When we arrived at approx 1900hrs, we were asked if we had a reservation, clearly the answer was no as being a tourist I didn't realise how popular the place was.... More

My husband and I decided to treat ourselves to a nice dinner. It was outstanding, the food, the attentive service enhanced our dining experience. I ordered the duck and my husband ordered the deer. The duck was very tender enhanced by a creamy sauce. The deer cooked to order was tender and juicy. We shared a desert of chocolate and... More

We walked in and very lucky to be seated without reservation. The very moment we stepped in and asked for a table - the staffs have been nothing but nice and friendly... We ordered the truffle gnocchi and the wild boar - both are simply amazing!! The beer daily offering was "imperial", a dark sweet ale. The chocolate bomb "surprise"... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
