Very good coffe. Toasty snacks with huge selection of starters: sweet and salty. Delicious croissant with ham and cheese! They have daily newspapers for guest. A lot of people every time.

We hunted this place down based on the TripAdvisor reviews. We maybe expected a little bit more. Carrot cake was very tasty, prices aren't that bad but I must say the table situation is quite weird. You basically must dive under the table to get to the other side. The cafe also seems to be really popular so there was... More

Dear Traveller, Thank you for your review. We are delighted that you liked the carrot cake but would have hoped that you enjoyed your overall experience better. There are times when the cafe is very busy so this is why the window seating is designed to accommodate as many people as possible. You can also find our carrot cake over at... More

Hello, I was looking for the wedding cake. Based on the good reviews from friends we decided to contact your bakeshop for some cake tasting. We were told that the tasting is usually 5pieces and it costs 500czk (100czk per piece) but if we eventually order the cake then we will not pay anything. I told Mrs. Miroslava that we... More

Dear Mariya, Bakeshop wedding cake samples are created by our pastry chefs and are tailored to the customer's taste so there are no pieces lying around in the kitchen to cut off small bits for you to try. Five samples with icing and filling cost 500kc and this will be refunded if you order a wedding cake. Most customers respect... More

The Bakeshop has a great variety of baked goods, and more, that are of excellent quality. My problem is, however, I go here quite a lot and I've noticed that the Bakeshop is popular. This is a problem because it's not very big. I would recommend expanding. For those who want to come at a less crowded time, sometime between... More

Dear Jacqueline, Thank you for your comments, we are glad that you are a regular at our bakery. We have expanded to the other side of the river and have Bakeshop Little Bakery at 22 U Luzickeho Seminare, Mala Strana. Although it can get crowded on the weekends, you can normally find a seat during the weekdays. Look us up... More

A very quaint and well furbished establishment, the Bakeshop is exactly the sort of cafe you would expect to see while walking down an adorable French street. Although there are no tables as such, the long 'tables' that adorn the perimeter of the cafe ensure there is adequate space to rest up and re-hydrate with whatever flavour of white-girl lates... Visited this place for breakfast on our last day worth a visit! Amazing pasties, savoury and cakes! Only downside was the tables and sitting not that easy to get in and out. Staff were ok the place was really busy.

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
