Fresh delicious fish at an American surfer’s hangout

Food: 5 stars. Ordered poke tower, ceviche and a crunchy spicy tuna roll - all fresh, creamy/buttery texture (not fishy/chewy at all) flavored to perfection. Would definitely eat everything all over again. Service: quick to sit, somewhat timely to order, fast delivery of food but after that we were left alone for too long, couldn’t even get our check. Felt a little like we were outsiders, not regulars/surfers who know the staff well. Atmosphere: eating at poolside but not sure if you’re supposed to/are allowed to use it? Seemed like it was cool it was there but nobody was in it. Reggaeton hits all night reminding you that you’re in PR but you’re just surrounded by Americans, staff and diners. I did like that it was Caribbean sushi and not traditional Japanese, a nice switch up. Location/convenience. First time we tried to go we didn’t have a map and couldn’t find it. This time we used gps and though it’s in Rincon, it’s not near the main plaza central. It’s a bit of a drive to almost middle of nowhere, nothing else around except the restaurant.

Pool?...Bar?...Sushi?...What's not to love!?

Such a great spot! We've eaten here numerous times on our trips to Rincon (Puntas) and always love it! Fun vibe...big screen with surfing on in the background...food is always so yum and you can even take a dip in the pool while you wait! You must go here!

Solid food fun vibes

It's a poolside sushi restaurant with surf videos playing- you can't really go wrong. The food is solid (not the best sushi I've ever had but overall good) and it's got great vibes. The best thing we had was the ceviche. Compared to other restaurants in Rincon that we've been to, I don't know why it's not higher on the list.

Good sushi but the 90 minute delay in it arriving was a big negative.

The varied selection of the sushi dishes the four of us shared were very good. Highlights were the ‘Rinçon Roll’, the ‘Rainbow Roll and the ‘ Blackened Fish Roll’, though all the dishes were enjoyed alongside the mix of drinks we had. So, why only 3 stars? Well, having waited 30 minutes for a table to become available, we had to wait a further 90 minutes before the food arrived! OK, we were served drinks but at no point were we given any indication of the likely delay. Another negative was that on arrival of the bill, a 20% service charge had already been added but a further tip was indicted as a requirement which we declined obviously. So, all I can do is reiterate that the sushi was very good but the 90 minute delay harmed the enjoyment of the evening.

Sushi Renaissance!

If Pools in Puntas was a great success, hang on cus Brad outdid himself. Shell and Ratan chandeliers call to very one’s attention, but its the sushi and sashimi who truly grab everyones. When fish is so fresh, you can’t go wrong. Brad and the team thank you for catering us and the finicky teenage boys in our team. Thanks, Windy and the Boys

Best sushi in PR

Best Sushi we’ve ever had. Great decor and atmosphere, fresh catch on display and you can watch the chef make your rolls. Server was super laid back and gave great recommendations. Had the coconut shrimp as an appetizer (6 pieces) and came with a homemade sweet chili sauce. Would highly recommend the starving surfer & coco loco rolls, we ordered a second round of sushi because it was so good.

Hamachi kama in Puerto Rico!

La Sirena is the newest Japanese restaurant in Rincón and it is excellent. Wide assortment of rolls, naturally, full bar, and very tasty, plus relaxing lighting and nice jazz in the background (something rarely found in Puerto Rico restaurants) but the treat of the night, for me, was they had hamachi kama, the collar of the fish, the most tender and sweetest part. Many Japanese don't have this, or don't put it on the menu, and it wasn't on the menu here but if you asked for it, they might. There were only two left and we got them both. Def worth a try.

Excellent sushi, service and apps

We had a fabulous dinner here and everyone was blown away by the food. The sushi was excellent-definitely some of the best we have had. We also had the shrimp pot stickers and fresh catch poke tower, which were both excellent. Our server Susie was also great. We could have eaten here every night and while we had several great meals, this was probably my favorite of our trip.

So fun with the family!

Love this place! We go here often and every time our happy with our experience. It’s perfect for kids of all ages. And it’s great for parents to be able to relax and connect while the kids swim in the pool. The sushi is top notch, and they Pau Pau (sp??)chicken is amazing! I highly recommend this place!

This is one of my favorite places to dine in Rincon. Their dishes are superb. Their sushi and rolls are unreal: fresh, delicious, and innovative. Try their Pow Pow Fish - they are not your everyday fish bites. We have never had a wrong plate or appetizer. Their service is cordial and efficient. Bring a sweater if you like warm places. They keep their temperature chilly. Parking is a challenge, like every place in Rincon. But it is worth the trip.

Amazing Sushi, great atmosphere. Love this place! A must dining experience. Highly recommend the Poke Tower. Amazing fish and great presentation. Honestly anything there is fresh and delicious. Ate there twice in 5 days.

I asked the waiter to make me a bed since I don’t need to eat anywhere else. Food is great, obviously a popular place, good ambiance. They only need a little more staff but we will definitely return

A little hidden gem!

I probably picked the worst time to visit a Thursday evening during art walk but I’m glad I found this little hidden gem. I love sushi and I had the best experience with my family fresh seafood, great table service and not too loud. Love the atmosphere and decor ! I would definitely try again in a not so busy night .

Worst Restaurant on the West Coast.

Worst place to eat in Rincon. Is a trap. Very bad service. Rude waitress. Fish is NOT fresh. Ask around if you don’t belive me. The owner is on power trip. Acts like he is Salt Bae. He is a joke. Blaming his employees for his mess in the restaurant. Lots of options to eat good and fresh food around.

Yes, fresh catch and DO NOT believe crazy jealous reviews No wonder no followers for that reviewer lol Definitely NYC suchi quality Great owner who has been a long resident of Rincon and a Rock Star ! Check his music records , guys. Next tour is Germany ! Delicious dinner and so much worth it !
