I've been going for years. I love the pub atmosphere and have always enjoyed my meals there. The fish and chips are delicious!

An old school pub with a great menu. This venue features local cheeses in many of it's dishes (Woodstock is the heart of artisanal cheese making in Ontario). With gluten free and heart healthy options, there is something here for everyone. Where this pub really excels though, is in traditional English fare: Fish 'n Chips (Haddock, Cod or Pollock), Beef... I've visited once before and found everything to our liking .This visit was a celebration of sorts with three couples all from out of town. Everybody enjoyed the pub experience and the food choices were varied with each of us with a different selection. Everything was top drawer and to add to the overall experience the service was excellent even... More

Disgruntled customers should speak to management. Not hide behind a web page. This is the fair way. " This is not the Canadian way". The owner is very fair minded and appreciates any feedback from customers and suppliers. Her intension is only to provide good quality in a good environment with good service for a fair value. Customers should remember... More

I have been to "The Dickens" a few times now but finally wanted to post here. Stopped in with a friend on the weekend and the restaurant was fairly busy as usual. This place has a true pub ambiance, friendly staff and the food is very reasonably priced considering the large portions. Started out with deep fried pickles and sauteed... More

The first thing I notice about this pub is they sell it as a English food pub, well they can as the owners were from Liverpool. It was very busy when I went their and that's always a good sign. They have a great menu. I tried the Haddock and it tasted great and they also have a great selection... More
