We went to Malveiro several times during our two week vacation. The service was quick and the staff very friendly. My personal favourite was the veal stew which was slow cooked to perfection. The best I have tasted! The local wine was good and reasonably priced. I would recommend anyone staying nearby to try it, you will certainly return. By... More

Although this restaurant could be out of the way for most people, we luckily could walk here from our villa ,and wow it never disappointed. Lionel is the perfect host and so attentive and friendly. Quite a limited menu but all delicious and the local wine is gorgeous. We also tried a soft velvety port at the end of our... More

Great Mozambique prawn curry, lovely house white wine (€15.50/bottle), very caring host. I am so glad we were recommended to go here. Please, please try this restaurant, it should be higher rated on T/A.

I've been coming to the Algarve for over 10 years. This is our second visit to Malveiro and it's easily our favourite restaurant. There are fancier places in Quinta Do Lago or Val de lobo (boring, over priced, tasteless and forgettable in my opinion), but honestly the restaurants in Almancil make it truly a gastronomic quarter. Malveiro is a wonderful... More

A bit of a Portuguese / Mozambique fusion feel to it. Excellent food and service and friendly staff. Be prepared to go with this season's wine and you'll be just fine.

Malveiros is a bit off the beaten track, but well worth a visit. The food is always good and the proprietor and staff invariably friendly and welcoming. The vegetable cake starter and the king prawn curry are particularly delicious and there are other very tasty dishes on the menu, like the steak and the goat stew. The restaurant is reasonably... I have been going to Portugal every year for 8 years and always eat in Malveiro. The Kid Curry is my absolute favourite with the blue berry ice cream for desert. Lovely place, good atmosphere excellent staff.

Like every year for the last 15+ years, we've gone for a family dinner at the Malveiro. The food is always the same and always amazing. They serve the greatest shrimp curry and that's always my choice. My kids, since they were babies, always take the veal stew and this is something to die for. The meat melts in your... More

This restaurant is a bit different and it is great. It is just a little out of town and those that know go there including many Portuguese. fantastic if you need to eat late. It is quirky, quaint and has personaility. Food is fantastic - we mostly had surf and turf comes with roast potatoes and great value at around... More

Such a shame one of our favourites, still same good food and a warm welcome, the king prawn curry is amazing, but no rice came, after a while I asked our waitress, she glared at me, stomped off and returned with the rice banged it down. I did tell the owner, it was such a shame it left a poor... More
