Just arrived in this little town, and the Post Hotel recommended Hus Nr 8, so we walked over without reservations (it's the end of the season and a Thursday night). There was only a shared table available (ok with that), but we had to eat and be done by 8 pm (it was 6:45)... (ok with that). The meal of... More

Book a table as this is a small and popular eatery. We had the raclette for two which includes a green salad starter. In addition to cheese for the grill you also get potatoes and prosciutto and a side of pickles and pearl onions. We had a nice bottle of Sauvignon blanc. This restaurant also offered meat or cheese fondue... More

Excellent supper in the Hus Nr 8. We had good food and wine and the waiter was fun and extremely helpful. If you are coming here in the winter season you need to book in advance (before you leave home!) It is worth it though!

The restaurant serves typical Austrian cuisine. The place is small and very cozy in the winter. One must reserve several weeks in advance if you want to get a table during February and March ski season.

We enjoyed a very pleasant lunch here during our stay. Nice soups followed by an excellent Wiener Schnitzel (the best we'd tried in Austria) and equally good Tafelspitz (well-cooked, tender). Not many people when we went so very relaxing and we had a large table to ourselves. That said the place seemed pretty small so I imagine it could get... More

My mother always tells a story about how she came to Lech as a girl and how one year Hus Nr 8 was a cattle shed then the next it was a restaurant. Bad for the cows, good for the rest of us (they're fine by the way, they moved down the street). This place does a fantastic evening menu... More

Fabulous old Austrian interior and one of the first restaurants created in Lech. Outside too very atmospheric with sheep's wool skins to keep you warm on chilly nights.

Food was good quality, but as other reviewers have mentioned quite expensive for what you get, service great and a real Austrian chalet made it worth a visit
