If you enjoy seafood, this is really a must do. The food was outstanding. Service was very good. Rachael was outstanding. Nice location and off the beaten path. Call for reservations.

We ate there tonight and I would have to say it was a bit over rated and overpriced. The fries oysters were very good. The steamed clams were very good. Their seafood chowder left a bit to be desired. It was not too good. I...More

We had not planned on eating in Kilcolgan. However, after a long Cliffs of Moher/Aran Islands day tour, we needed to eat before setting off to Adare at night (driving in Ireland is not fun for us US people and at night it is worse!)....More

Great food, great service. Lives up to their reputation. A must for seafood. Oysters were wonderful and the lobster was excellent.

This is a highly recommended seafood restaurant, a 20min taxi from Galway city centre & not worth it. It is a well oiled machine, efficient yes but the staff rush the orders, pushy (& not friendly) with service & the kitchen pumps out the food...More

Once again, I couldn't resist the fish chowder. Its a lesson on what chowder should be. Followed by a delicious chocolate cake (which happened to be gluten free), I enjoyed my lunch immensely.

Morans is a great place to stop for lunch because the seafood is so fresh. We had fresh wild oysters to start and the fish and chips for the main course. All was fresh and tasty. I highly recommend the brown bread as well! Super!

We ordered food, on the promise of good past experiences. Place very busy and understaffed - trying too hard to regain is erstwhile reputation. And singularly failing in the attempt. Symptomatic of the poor experience was the arrival of a side order of veg, that...More

On a drive from Galway to Kilkee via the scenic route, we had earmarked Morans for a bit of lunch. The location is brilliant, the venue itself is lovely, bright and spacious......however.... I had the chowder ( on the menu as a recipe handed down...More

I am not sure if reservations are recommended. We went on a sunny afternoon & dined outside. There was plenty of space then. I would think that reserving a table might be a good idea.
