A beautifully located restaurant on the Noosa river, unfortunately you couldn't tell because all the windows were closed. The service from the staff was impeccable and the food was very tasty it's just that the servings were quite small and the cost of sides and extras was pretty expensive. My chair was also very uncomfortable for some reason. On reflection... More

7 course degustation was delightful. For $135 for 7 courses, I did not and no not expect carrots to be provided as one of the courses. This needs to be reconsidered. The accompanying 7 pairing wines - sherry wasn't a good match with the dark chocolate dessert. Joel was exceptional at explaining the wine pairing and he is an asset... More

The food was excellent the service was great and the whisky and other drinks supported it beautifully. I am always a little less confident in a specific food type in a smaller place like Noosa but while Wasabi may not be filled with Japanese staff the atmosphere, decor, food and service are all excellent. I love Whisky, particularly single malt... More

Very much enjoyed the variety of seafood, particularly the tuna and the white fish. The carrot dish was unbelievably good. Were there just before Christmas and then again in January. 2017. The Moooolooooolaba prawns also, even if they are only local prawn if you can't say the word properly.

We had an amazing degustation meal at Wasabi - the food is delicate and beautiful - the portions are ample (given the 9 courses) and the wine pairings were excellent. Letting the chef choose was such a good decision. The staff were exceptional - able to discuss and describe the food and its origins - a real experience. Expensive yes... More

The staff were unbelievably rude - customer service here is one of the worst I've ever experienced. The food was not worth the fuss and was very over-priced for the portion size. Will not be returning nor recommending.

We've been before & loved it...this time was just as good....it is quite expensive as you'd expect, but it is a great experience...The wait staff are very knowledgable, the food is exquisite (& delicious !),the wine list is good...but once again, quite expensive Wait staff are very good about keeping water up to the table...My only (small) grizzle is the fact that you... Excellent service and very interesting food. Well worth the visit but I would recommend going in the daylight hours so that you can take advantage of the water views. The food was beautifully presented with a good range of Jaoanese dishes available but if you don't like Japanese good don't go.

We had the amazing opportunity to also try out their Cooking School too (went for around 5 hours and was a lot of fun). The food was delicious, and was even more amazing with the added blue crystal water view. A charm for the locals and a delight for those who are visiting Noosa. You can't help but just feel... More

We are regular holiday makers at Noosa, however have never been to Wasabi! Booked in to evening meal fairly easily, however it is very popular and need to book. Waiter positioned us in the bunker seats for our meal after taking our shoes off at front door. Left the ordering of our meal to waiter and embarked on a mini degustation... More

Description
Wasabi restaurant & bar, overhanging the scenic Noosa River, opposite the Noosa Recreation Reserve, is the brainchild of owner and Young Restaurateur of the Year Award recipient Danielle Gjestland. The entirely waterfront dining space has spectacular river views with amazing sunset vistas by day and a warm, contemporary, intimate dining space by night. Voted Queensland's #1 regional restaurant for the 2015 Good Food Guide, awarded two chefs hats, listed in Gourmet Travellers top 100 restaurants, and voted Queensland's Hottest Restaurant in the Australians Hot 50 List, Wasabi's food has a contemporary sensibility that is still deep rooted in Japanese purity.
