After our experience in July when we had all sorts of trouble trying to make a reservation, we decided to give the Brewhouse another go on our most recent trip. They now have a booking system on their website which is quick and easy to...use. We booked a table in the bistro and being mid week it wasn't too busy. The food was really nice, although a little on the expensive side. The Prickly Moses beer on tap is great. I was a little disappointed the delicious Forbidden Fruit cider wasn't on tap this time and $8 for a bottle seemed a bit steep. Overall we had a pleasant night and the renovations look great.More

Such an awesome pub. Live music in the outdoor terrace, The food was great, the staff were friendly and it was pet friendly so it was cute seeing so many pups. My friend and I were stuck and couldn’t get accomodation anywhere last minute but...the two guys running the pub were incredibly friendly, made us feel welcome and offered up a room above the pub that was really affordable. We will definitely be going back.More

Whilst the beer was refreshing at the Brewhouse, the standard of food ordered by myself and another was extremely disappointing. We both ordered the lamb backstrap, which was priced at $45 each. These are restaurant prices and we expected quality food. When our meals were...delivered with a strip of lamb resembling a 6" thin sausage we had concerns. The lack of protein on the plate was shameful and was more suited to an entree. Added to our disappointment was the miniscule piece of lamb which was well done and tough. On completing our meal l advised a waiter that the meal was over priced, poorly cooked and we'll undersized, would he advise the chef. Again we were disappointed that no one gave a toss on our constructive feedback.More

Probably my number one pick for a great family friendly restaurant in Apollo bay. Very popular spot but still excellent service

Pleasant seating and comfortable room setting. Simply great food. Rare for every person on the table, including kids, to rave about their meal. And you get the bonus of tasting all of the beers on offer. Very enjoyable.

Hi Paul, We're sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your visit to our Brewhouse. We usually get good feedback about our steaks, but we will follow up with the kitchen and counsel to make sure all steaks are cooked to perfection. Warm regards, Suzie

Went during school holidays with our young daughter who has some very strict dietary limitations. Staff were friendly and welcoming - the barman allowing me to taste a few beers before selecting a pint, the waitresses making sure the chef was able to prepare our...daughter's meal to requirements and even the chef checking with her to make sure all was good. Food was generous and delicious - standard pub fare - and arrived quickly. Atmosphere was peaceful and welcoming - with a great open fire surrounded by couches. Highly recommend for an easy, pleasant night out.More

.. were there by 7:30PM.. ordered our first course of food.. .. everyone in our group liked the Penang Chicken curry, which was yumm... As the portions of the food we ordered were small and having spent a long evening on the beach we all...were extra hungry.. we decided to order some more.. this was at 8'ish.. to our dismay we were told the "Kitchen's Closed" and that only Desserts were available.. No heads up..... After a while when we went back to order our desserts.. even that was closed... 8:30PM seems to be the time when the some of the staff were more eager to clear off the table!! We ended up having some amazing fried ice creams at a nearby place for dessert .. No issues in closing early.. The customers deserve to be told if the business closes the kitchen earlier than the hours mentioned online.. Drove down all the way with big expectations.. all in vain.. felt so uninvited at this place.. Never going back here..More

We went as a family with kids for a dinner on a Saturday evening. We reached there by 7:30. Ordered the food and there was no info given to us that the kitchen closes at 8 pm. We wanted to try some desserts and more...food later but the counter was closed around 8:30 pm. Totally disappointed. Staff didn't have a pleasant attitude. Food was very average for the price. Totally disappointed. Will never go again.More

Last day of school holidays, went out to the best local pub in town. What a fantastic meal, we all loved our meals. I had Chicken pennang curry, brilliant! Husband had calamari...best in town. Daughter had the porterhouse...medium rare...perfect. We were so impressed, as the...service was friendly and meals came out quickly. We eat out often, but this was the best meal in Apollo Bay for a very long time.More
