This restaurant is in a stunning location and I can imagine why it would be a great way to spend lunch admiring the view. However, we dined on a very damp and cloudy evening so had to content ourselves by focusing on the dining experience alone. All Asian staff so effiency rather than a warm welcome. The bar area upstairs... More

terrible service. As locals we have had positive experiences in the past but tonight was just awful. The entree and main came out in 15 min. They then asked if we wanted the desert menu immediately on collecting the mains as if to rush us out in under 1hr. When we said we would like 10 minutes to rest it... More

We enjoyed the meal at Echoes on a Saturday night. Good service and excellent food, although a tad expensive I thought. We were 'entertained' by a fellow trying to impress his date by being as rude as possible to attempt to engage in a verbal altercation with the serving staff. He failed and left looking a bit of a dill.... More

Chef definitely knows how to balance flavours! My Barramudi on sweet and sour thai curry broth was to die for, I almost didn't get the fish because of the combination but it wasn't too hot, the chili was used to flavor not for heat. Amazing! Also the slow cooked Pork Belly cannot be passed by...melts in your mouth. I'm not... More

Took the wife here for our 15th wedding anniversary based on recommendations from a friend. The views are spectacular. Make sure you ask for a table near the window. Food was good, not the best fine dining I've had, but we both enjoyed our three courses. Wine selection was impressive and they had some interesting local beers that were a... More

Staff are welcoming and lovely. The food was amazing. When asked for a medium steak, it was medium - the chef knows what he's doing. The waiter also recommended a good wine that well accompanied our food. Ambience = beautiful. Pianist playing beautiful music in the background, and fireplace was lit. We didn't want to leave.

I am shocked. We just paid $30 for an entree of Cajun vegetable stack which was the blandest, most ordinary pile of cooked vegetables in a plain tomato sauce; nothing Cajun about it. Flavours terrible. And a $30 dessert- meringue and mango sorbet with fruit that I could swear - almost 99%- was tinned. Whether it was or wasn't- if... More

Echoes is attached to Lilianfels and part of the Escarpment group. Our dinner was well presented with a strong Thai touch and we had the pleasure speaking to the Thai chef who does really a nice job. The team was enthusiastic on that quiet Thursday evening, but the facility needs some thorough housekeeping as pointed out and acknowledged by the... More
