Fairly small basic menu but the food is plentiful and tasty. The venue could do with a good overhaul. Not enough to say it is historic but also needs to appear smart and welcoming. Not sure if there is a lift as the stairs can...More

Excellent service. Good wine selection. It was a rainy night, the pumpkin-ginger soup was great. We had date pudding dessert, delicious.

We dined with friends downstairs in the pub section and chose from bar menu. Food and Guinness was good and service friendly and prompt. The best thing was the great Irish type 3 person band that played. We stayed until closing to enjoy the music.

As others have said slow roast lamb is just slices of roast lamb not the tender melt in the mouth it should be. The chicken schnitzel is ok but don't bother with the gravy which was tasteless. Don't go upstairs it's very smoky from the...More

At best this was average. My wife is not a big eater. She ordered the barramundi and the world’s smallest portion arrived. Pass the magnifying glass. Really?? C’mon guys put a little imagination into it. The salad that came with it was wilting. It didn’t...More

Absolutely excellent: the menu has been upgraded over the past couple of years and the current chef is doing a great job. Sure there are the stale items like burgers and porterhouse steaks, but there is a lot more... More
