It had been a while since I had been to this CHATSWOOD institution as I used to live in the area. We chose this eatery as we were celebrating a family birthday and wanted somewhere we could book. Well nothing has changed and that is not a good thing. It felt very tired and even a bit dirty. Crockery was... More

Terrible service, waited over an hour only to be served the same two options. Actually ordered particular foods which never came. When we provided feedback we were told we were there too early, no ownership of poor service. Would not recommend to anyone and certainly won't be going back.

Went for yum Cha - all of 2 trollies going around - when we ordered whitebait which was not up to the mark - the staff asked me not to order it in the future- I have news for her there will no future. They tried to then sell that dish to another table - never ever again

Horrible service rude and dismissive bought out the wrong dish also! Then the joke on us began... as we couldn't get duck pancakes without buying either a whole or half duck we ordered the half duck for $45 and here's how they presented it. They showed us the duck made 4 tiny pancakes with a minute amount of duck in... More

This was the best and its sad to see people ruin a wonderful reputation...Obviously new owners with the mighty $ their only goal, no pride and cook with no idea how to cook dim sum. Asked for calamari and got a plate of fried calamari which had sat for quite a while, cold and overcooked!! gow gees with no taste... More

The food was overcooked and overall poor quality ingredients and chef skills. Dumpling skins were very thick and sticky. The restaurant was quite dirty and badly maintained. The windows were filthy, the curtains were literally held back with rubber bands and paper clips. The soy sauce pot was filthy from previous use. The price was not too expensive but considering... Fook Yuen used to be the gold standard when it comes to Chinese food and superior service in the North Shore area. Unfortunately, while the food is still good, the service standard has fallen quite alarmingly. It might have been a touch foolhardy to expect top notch service on Father's Day but then again, you would have expected an experienced... More

We were a booking of 13, with 7 young kids. The experience was totally new as there's nothing like it in the UK. You sit at your table and trolleys of food pass by. You ask for what you want and it goes onto the lazy Susan for everyone to try. In practice the trolleys are a bit slow and... More

Yum Cha not too crowded at 11.45 am in a Saturday. Usual range of yum Cha offerings. Best dishes are the mushrooms wrapped in tofu, the Chinese broccoli, fish balls, white bait with deep fried tofu, and bbq pork and duck with peanuts, and the sweet sesame balls. I like chicken feet but my company was to squeamish to try... More
