Only 2 staff on and unable to keep up with customers arriving. Food very average, coffee undrinkable. Had the impression management were cost cutting to the bone.

My wife chose to have dinner on her birthday at this beautiful hidden gem restaurant in Airlie. They had many vegan options for my wife and I loved cooking my meal on the fun hot stone. We were served by two lovely woman Riena and...Bruna. We were super impressed when Bruna was leaving that she told us how Riena would be looking after us. They were both very professional and still down to earth and personable. We were both very surprised and blown away when the staff surprised my wife with some cake on a plate with ‘Happy Birthday’ written on it in chocolate sauce. They even had a sparkler which was really lovely too. Being away for her birthday it was hard to organise a cake especially for only two people. So this beautiful cake surprise really meant so much to us and we found it a very kind and thoughtful gesture. We also loved meeting the very friendly chef!More

We had 'The Lot' for 2. The meat and seafood were served raw in small portions not a lot when cooked in the hot rock. Sauces and salad were ok. Staff not friendly.

Wanted to try the hot rock and was very disappointed. Ordered the tuna with mango salsa, tuna arrived and I was then told they had no mango, I was given chips instead (pretty sure they were from Maccas next door). No oil, tuna was dry...and stuck to the rock. Paid a lot for a bit of raw fish and some limp chips. Friend ordered seafood hot rock, again no salad despite it being on the menu as included. Would avoid this place at all costs, such a rip off.More

I walked past Village Cafe from Woolies to wander the streets of Airlie a dozen times over the ANZAC long weekend. I had seen the hot rocks sign, and thought I should try it out. I walked in, seated straight away (not many people, most...seem to be going to the bigger/drinking venues). I sliced, I seared, I ate. Was delicious. If I'm back in Airlie again, this will be a revisit.More

Just off the busy Main Street and a welcome change from more noiser places to eat. Very friendly staff and a lovely setting. We had duck tacos and Korean chicken as entrees and mains where Fish and pork belly, no complaints with any of the...dishes. All were beautifully presented and tasty. Evening was topped off with a couple of cocktails. These guys know their food.More

Staff are exceptionally friendly. Food quality and price excellent in relation to other airlie beach eateries. Hidden gem. Well worth the visit. Javier is an awesome waiter. Dont waste your money in the big noisy places. This is a great feed.

Food was fantastic. Order some fajita and steaks to cook ourselves in the hot plates and it was so good. They were short staffed, one person was doing orders, bringing out food and taking payment so you can imagine the wait time but the food...was good.More
