Stayed at Hotel Alisei which was awesome. Ate here multiple times during the stay. Breakfast and lunch were fine, expensive for the food quality but ok. Had one burger which was totally undercooked so watch the beef. Also got served salmon that was rancid and spoiled. This restaurant is a fairly good bet for basics but be careful with anything... If you are staying at or close to hotel alisei, this is a safe bet. I've been having a jugo de lechosa for breakfast- delicious. Had dinner here once. If u r looking for an authentic Dominican meal get the Dominican bandera with chicken, rice and beans, and -por supuesto- tostones.

First of all one of very few sheltered places as we had some days with nasty winds. It is a mix of a hotel- and a public restaurant where you can still see the set up used for the breakfast buffet - we were surprised about the exceptional food creations they provided for dinner. A very creative and delicious Thai... More

Don't be fooled by the nice decor, this is not a good place to have dinner. A kid from our group ordered a lasagna which came frozen... And while the server recognized it was still frozen, they simply brought another one, but this time so hot that it could not be eaten... The seafood grill (grill!) platter came warm with... More

The breakfasts here are great. Such a good selection of pancakes, omelettes, pastries, fruits and a whole bunch of other things. We also had lunch several times and sitting in the tropics by the pool being served delicious fresh food is my idea of heaven. The real gem of this restaurant is Jeremy the restaurant manager. He went out of... More

The service at the Baraonda is excellent, however, the food is mediocre, don't order the seafood bisque, is nothing but a washed out fish water with horrible taste, could not eat it, some dishes are ok, however it's not fine food. the atmosphere is great.

Had dinner 2 times this year. It's an attractive restaurant, but we were somewhat disappointed in the menu and service. Not a big variety of choices for my taste this year and service staff is pleasant, but not very attentive. For an attractive rather formal setting, the service is casual. Walking in, not greeted or seated by anyone, even though... More
