This was a family celebration, golden wedding the day before, booked a table for 9 well in advance. All was ready for arrival. The service was attentive, and a wide ranging menu to suit our various tastes.

I went here with a group of friends for a nice Sunday meal out, never been here before. Everyone had chosen what they wanted on the menu, and I explained i was vegan, the woman serving us (who i guess was the manageress) looked at me like I had just grown 2 heads. Obviously she must have never heard of... More

Had Sunday lunch for 7 people here and while the food tasted great the portions of meat served were veryw poor. The beef was two small thinly cut slices and the lamb similarly small. We were one of the first tables eating at 12pm and shortly after we ordered others were told the lamb was finished. It felt like they... More

Great position, great food. great service. very friendly staff, dog friendly. Great value for money. The pub sits on the edge of the estuary has a large car park and for the summer a sheltered outside seating area

Stopped of for a comfort break on our way to Devon recently. Enjoyed tea / coffee and scones - plenty of butter, jam and cream with top-up of drinks. Very nice atmosphere

The pub itself is lovely, a proper traditional pub with good atmosphere and friendly staff. There's good parking, and plenty of room. We visited for lunch and found that the food was overpriced for what you get, and not all of it nice, an example being a small shepherds pie served in the tin it was cooked in with some... More

Lovely pub with over good food. Log fire, friendly staff and great beer! Well worth a visit (we have been back 3 times). Set in pretty village near the water and fabulous beer garden. Would recommend the mussels. Lovely atmosphere and staff.

booked for a Sunday lunchtime as have visited before. Welcome lukewarm and table service slow although not especially busy. Food quality has reduced over the last year or so, now all trendy presentation but not anything particularly special. Was a top place to take visitors but may think of going elsewhere now.

My wife and I stopped for lunch on our journey westward. It was the location and pleasing aspect that enticed us. We were not disappointed. The interior had that 'olde worlde' charm and the staff were welcoming. There was an interesting menu with the food living up to expectation. I opted for the fish and my wife chose a risotto.... After thinking it might be a little too late for any food, approaching 3:45pm on Sunday 19th February (2017) my partner and I were seated in very comfortable surroundings and presented with the Sunday Lunch menu. I enjoyed the monk fish, while she had the lamb. Mine came with an oxtail faggot which has to be the best I've ever... More
