Whilst we were camped up at the NZMCA Park at Ardmore, we invited friends of ours from West Auckland, to join us for lunch there at the Wild Orchid Thai Restaurant in Papakura.
Both our friends and us are great lovers of Thai food.
We...were all extremely pleased with the meal we had.
Couldn't have made a better choice of restaurant.
Full marks all round.More
This restaurant was recommended by locals and we were not disappointed. Lovely setting, amazing food, great service and delightful staff. Our order was taken quickly, the food came after a very short wait and was piping hot. There is a very comprehensive menu and the...staff are knowledgeable and can advise on spiciness and heat. A great experience and we'll be back soon.More
I love Wild Orchid! Super friendly staff. The food is fresh, flavorful, really delicious. A large menu with entrees like money bags, prawn toasts, springrolls and satay chicken (my favourite).
Mains include pad thai, noodle soups and lots of different Thai curries. Prices are very...reasonable. You won't be disappointed.More
The mains were lovely, the entree and dessert were very average.
The temperature in the dining room was freezing (it was warmer outside on a cold winter night than inside) and when we raised the issue with the waitress (who clearly does not love her...job) she informed us it was because the fan in the kitchen was on.... glad they could still feel their fingers and toes.
Service was slow and lacked thought (apparently glasses to drink our wine (purchase from the restaurant) in were a strange request 🤣.
All in all an educational experience we aren’t planning on repeating any time soon.More
Fantastic customer service when dining in. My partner and I asked about dishes on menu and we were offered great reccomendations on what we were after. The food was very tasty. The person serving had positive friendly vibe.
Service was excellent, all the staff were very nice and attentive. i decided to get the beef Pad See Yow and it was the tastiest I had ever eaten. If i was to go through Papakura agian, I would definitely go back.
Another Thai food restaurant adventure for my family. We found this restaurant through Entertainment Book and decided to give it go. This is not a big and fancy Thai restaurant but the food is good. We went there for family lunch and the price is...reasonable. Variety choices and their entree Money Bags is really good. Main courses curries are good too.More
