No chicken, no roast meat left. Didn't seem to care. Not much left to choose from, just chips, chips and chips.

You have option of large or $14 small both with vegetables. It was nice to get some vegetables and NZ lamb.

The last portion of carved meat was taken by the customer in front of me in queue, and so on the spot I went with the "Fishermen's basket" thinking that fish n chips couldn't be ruined - boy, was I wrong. Soggy breading, unidentifiable chewy seafood flesh - over our two weeks, this was the worst meal I had in... More

Order at counter. Basic food. Can have half portion which is plenty unless you're a very big eater. We got there a bit late and they had run out of a couple specials. It seems to be popular with locals. Not very expensive.

I have found Steamers Carvery and Bar in Mackey Street Greymouth always good for a light meal to eat there or take away or to go for an outing such as a full work or family dinner or just to get a quiet drink and chat with a colleague or family member during the off-peak meal times. The building is... More

This is a fantastic family run café and bar. Great roast meals ready and waiting. Nice atmosphere with history to the building.

Very old and dated building and we were the only guests. The best part of the meal was the apple crumble. Two of our party had the roast dinner which they said was ok, Pretty standard fare and very drab surroundings. Would not recommend.

We visited Steamers for dinner. The place is a nice smallish pub, but very warm and welcoming. The food was delicious and it was a great place at a good price for dinner and am evening drink.

Excellent meals, friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere. One of the staff even sang happy birthday to my granddaughter which I thought was lovely.
