A great selection of one of the few takeaways (and dine-in) that is truly healthy and light. If dining in, alcohol is available. Also yum Turkish delight. Caters for vegetarians too.

I go here reasonably often, as I like their falafel wraps. I am vegan, so it is good to have a place that serves food that suits me and my meat eating friends. Friendly staff and you cab get coffees and wine as well as meals, wraps and salads. Middle Eastern style food.

Relaxed dining in Quality Street, a mall, which has a number of restaurants all together. What a great idea.

My mum and I went to the Fat Camel for dinner and it was absolutely delicious! I got the fat camel mixed plate which comes with a small amount of all the options on the menu but I well overcommitted and couldn't finish it all!! It would've been enough for two people with room for dessert. My mum got the... More

What we most loved was the casual 'hangout' ambience. A couple of the locals were quietly playing guitars and the guys who own the place and... More

Good honest middle eastern food. Tasty, fresh and plenty of it. Their filled pita's are the best value. Can get a bit noisy with the concrete floor and fairly snug layout of tables.

This is without a doubt the best cafe in Whangarei. It's awesome for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The vibe is fabulous. Great for meeting friends or visitors. The food is always delicious & fresh. The staff are always so friendly & helpful. The manager is the most amazing guy!!! Try it. You will love it!!!

Nice friendly welcome and good location. Very busy on our visit and they just managed to "squeeze" our party of 4 in. The meat was cooked to order and the salads lovely and fresh. It was a shame they had run out of Babaganoush (?) by 6pm- that was a big disappointment. All in all, a good meal and didn't... More
