But no , my poached eggs arrived mid serving the group - most appreciated . A customer alongside me questioned his boiled eggs -... More

This is where most locals will fight for a spot for a weekend breakfast or lunch. Well located and good meals. Owners are friendly

Mokaba is right next to the quayside in central Whangarei so easy access to the town centre and plenty of parking available. We went on a very busy public holiday so the place was buzzing and we had to queue to get served and find a table. Lots of outside tables with umbrellas but we had to make do with... More

Was very busy when we arrived but by the time we got to the counter people had left and we had room to sit. Food arrived at random times with some drinks arriving last (coke!) food was nice and quite filling, a little on the expensive side.

Ordered Caesar salad, it was their take of a Caesar, but not a very good version. Wrong lettuce, maybe one anchovies and 2 thin dehydrated slices of bread posing as croutons! Bacon cut up into micro-mini squares! Lol Egg was poached to perfection. Coffee was okay. Value for money? Disappointing.

Had to ask for menus. Ordered poached eggs on gf toast. The toast was white think slices of barely toasted bread. No option was offered when ordering as to white or brown and husband forgot to state but should have been asked by counter staff. They did offer to provide brown toast but little too late when lunch already on... More

Menu at our counter service café is 4 metres long by 1 metre high with loads of menus available on request. The egg dish mentioned is on the menu as Freerange poached eggs on Ciabatta bread which is a white Italian bread. Merry Christmas Ho Ho Ho! More

Our favourite and regular choice is fries with aioli, they are the best. Coffee is great, view is great, food cabinet has a good range, including gluten free

So convenient and a pleasant setting. Love walking in this neighborhood and always come back here for a coffee and a treat with friends. Owner takes an interest in the operations. Lots of pleasant eats to be had.
