Have been down visiting Melb for past 8 days and comparing restraurants in China Town Lt Burke St which were terrible service & quality of food😕.Lau's Family Restaurant service and food quality was excellent. Yes more expensive than Chinese restaurant in China town but presentation and taste was great and you get good table service and menu advise. Average cost... More

We visited Lau's for dinner on a Sunday. We didn't have a reservation but they were able to seat us. The food is pricey but it was delicious. Try the salt and pepper squid as well as the chilli prawns. Yum!

We have been here many times and are never disappointed. The salt and pepper squid is always a highlight and the barramundi melts in your mouth it is so beautifully cooked.

Four people eat Australia dollar over 200 and not much to eat. Location is away from city , drive 20 minutes not worth it. Food quality is ok but mostly for western customer. Not recommend Chinese to go . They recommend a dish which is call deer bowl cost $60 , not worth. Not coming back for sure

Excellent if somewhat OTT service. The food was good but not great for the price. Had some sharing plates: Wontons fabulous. Honey and lemon duck nice but not overly tasty and if I didn't know it was duck I wouldn't have guessed. Sui mai dumplings yummy. Pork tenderloin strip awesome. Went away full and reasonably satisfied. There are options in... More

Booked in as a group of five and decided to let them surprise us with a variety of entree and main dishes. A fantastic selection was provided for us. The patagonian tooth fish and black pepper beef were the highlights. Again as always fantastic service with a great sense of humour.

The food here is delicious and I would definitely recommend the following dishes; "Ma Pu Bean Curd and Minced Pork", "Home made Siu Mai dumplings", "Eye Filet Beef in Black Bean Sauce". The service is excellent and you will need to book. The decor is modern and the wine list is extensive.

Can not fault this place, dish after dish it was fantastic. Asian fusion at its best, if you can and it's on the special menu must try the San choy bow.

Ok, the prices are a little high but keep in mind the location of the restaurant but the food is exceptional quality. The staff are super attentive and have a good sense of humour. We have around 8-9 dishes and all were as good as each other. If there was a weak dish it would be the San choy bau,... More
