I had found Stella by chance when visiting Bendigo (before Covid). We strolled in after the Elvis exhibition & had an early dinner. It was as delicious as I had remembered and was delighted to have enjoyed quiet drink with our meal. The staff were...very welcoming and food arrived quickly. We look forward to returning next visit to this vibrant city.More

We were shown to our table then waited about 20mins to place a drink order. A second waiter came to take a drink order. We advised we had already order and could he check where our drinks were as we could see them sitting on...the bar for the last 10 minutes. The waiter then came back without the drinks to take our food order. Our drinks finally arrived but we had to go to the front counter to ask where our entree was as it had been an hour and people beside us who arrived after us had been served there entree. Our entree had not been ordered so we then waited approx another 15 mins to receive bruschetta which was average although my partner thought is was just stale bread. When the entree arrived I did check with the waiter if our main courses had actually been proceeded to which she replied yes. Several times during the evening my partner had to wave staff down to order another drink. We order another couple of G&Ts that were hind snd soda. When we were able to wave down a waiter again he knew the problem took the drinks and said the tonic had run out of the line. But were our drinks then made a priority - Nooooooo! The replacement drinks arrived which again were gin & soda. I took the drinks to the front counter. The staff member apologised & advised he’d make them himself. When the g&ts finally arrived at the table for the 3rd time the staff member said they would be complimentary. Our food arrived and was very average. My utensils had been used for the entree so again I had to get the attention of a staff member for some clean utensils. My partner had a steak that was scorched on the outside rare on the inside and the whole meal luke warm. I had penne zucca which was fairly bland & the third person veal on a bed of mash - no veges. Only the beer glasses were cleared from the table for the entire night. It took so long to get the attention of a staff member for a dessert menu that we gave up and ordered coffees. When we went to pay we had to ask what was on the bill as we were only told the amount and weren’t given a copy. Needless to say there were extra G&Ts that we had to ask to be credited!!!! No one checked on us all night or asked how our meals. The bill was expensive for the poor food received. The staff seemed to busy fluffing, rearranging chairs & tables and clearing other tables rather than attend to their patrons. I had been told after the fact that the service was slow. My bad for not checking reviews first. We won’t be back.More

I had hoped to revisit Stella Cafe and enjoy the pizza I had over a year ago but it was not to be. The pizza was not what it once was. It barely had cheese at all - and was it Fior de latte? Or...buffalo mozzarella? I don't think so. It was not a good experience except for the server. Sad but true. Very disappointing.More

Welcomed by a warm greeting from the young staff and was quite impressed with the new interior decorating since our last visit a couple of years ago, unfortunately the food hasn't changed at all in that time, still bland pizza's and super chewy bases. lamb...ragout sauce was good but again the gnocchi was really tough and chewy. A big let down on what otherwise would have been a good night.More

I know COVID 19 has effected a lot of businesses but was pretty disappointed to see on my tax invoice a $9 corona fee considering I just ordered a pizza and drink for takeaway. No mention of the fee before I ordered or when I...paid, only noticed it after I asked for a tax invoice. Pretty disappointing and seems like a huge fee. Shame too, because food was nice but won’t be returning againMore

It was great to be out with our family, however we were really disappointed with the food. The pizzas were really lacking substance, and just tasted like dough. The dough was fresh however 🙂. Most likely won't return.

I booked online for 145pm and when i got there they didnt have our booking. We waited over 30minutes to be seated outside and the plave wasnt even half busy. We ordered pizzas and they took another 30min to come out tasteless, kids meat pizza...had water on top possibly from tomatoes. I ordered a prawn pizza and it was so bland with six prawns tasteless. Pissa unseasoned. Waste of $70 for 2 pizzas and 2 small bowls of chips. Will nwver go there. I will never encourage anyone to go there. Dominoes, Laporcheta is way better.More

The grazing platter was amazing and the ceaser salad was great, not too much dressing, crisp lettuce and Parmesan folded around the leaves The music was great too, with a good selection of Australian and other songs to sing along to. The extended dining into...bull Street due to covid provides a great experience.More
