Arrived just before the kitchen closes but the staff were warm and friendly and said if we could order quickly we could eat. They didn’t rush us at all. Food was amazing. Really intense flavours, very fresh and the lamb chops were the best
What a cracking little Indian restaurant! Roshana and team were wonderful hosts for dinner. The cheese garlic naan should be the first thing you order; it's fantastic. My extra hot lamb madras was gob-smackingly delicious. I have challenged the chefs to make me cry next...time by turning up the spice; I can't wait to eat here againMore
The entrees and curries were delicious. The butter prawn and onion bhaji was perfect. The staff weren’t the most attentive, there were a few mix ups with drink orders and curries. We booked in at 7, the food wasn’t very quick, we weren’t offered any...more food or desserts and then were told the kitchen had closed and had to leave before 9. As a group of 6 on a Saturday night it would’ve been nice to stay on and have dessert or coffee.More
I am a tourist from Brisbane who visited Launceston and was craving Indian food. Looked at the reviews so thought of giving it a go. We were left impressed with quality service and food presented. The ambience and the vibe was warm and inviting as...well.
Also, i happened to leave my cap at the restaurant that i was really fond of and found out only when i got back. I reached out to the owner via email and she was soo kind that she couriered the cap to me.
Huge thanks to the owner.
So overall - wonderful experience.
Must try !!More
A great little restaurant that offers some excellent naan, a selection of spiciness on the curries that actually means something, and a great attitude to service that just rounds out the whole experience. A must stop every time I come through town.
What a hidden treasure in Launceston! I've eaten Indian food world-wide. Pickled Evenings would hold its own anywhere We ate delicious tandoori lamb chops, chicken spinach curry, dahl and delicious naan and condiments. Beautiful ambience in a two-storey converted heritage house with great art on...the walls. Tasteful decor, Friendly helpful staff. Will definitely return when I come back to Tasmania.More
