I make at least one visit here every year when in Launceston. Again outstanding service and delicious food. Nicholas & Sarah are a credit to this industry. John S Hobart

A beautifully Presented and Prepared meal. We enjoyed everything from the outstanding Pea & Mint Soup offered as a apperatif to the Creme Brûlée for desert. Out main meals offered the freshest that Tasmania had to offer. Elegant atmosphere and attentive staff.

After driving from Coles Bay and finding our accommodation, we were ready to find somewhere to eat. Being unfamiliar with Launceston, we turned to "top 10 restaurants ". Being a Saturday night, I was unsure of being able to secure a table, however, luckily we did. We both had the 36hr brisket matched with a fabulous fat red recommended by... More

We were visiting from Sydney. Lovely little restaurant. We had probably the freshest oysters we have ever had. Delish! Otherwise food was great so was the service. Relatively cheap compared to Sydney prices.

We had been to this restaurant twice in a week. The service is very good and the food is great. Tasmanian Oyster is a must and so is Tasmanian abalone. Pasta and the deserts are very good. As a starter, Buratta cheese and olive oils are very good.

This was a birthday special for me. Been here several times and loved it however....we booked but our table was in the corridor and faced the open kitchen area. The view was distracting from the ambience of the restaurant and we felt we were secondary from the main restaurant.we were subjected to the cleaning of the kitchen whilst having dessert... More

Dear Ingrid, Is it ok to sit and watch the boys cook, as many restaurants have open kitchens these daysI I found it incredulous (the menial) jobs like cleaning offend you as these actions are vital to any operational kitchen, we sweep the floor during the course if the evening as well. The weekend is always busy as Agfest is... More

The slow cooked (32 hour) beef with Clare Valley Shiraz (Skillogalee) was worth the visit alone. We had booked, arrived very early (530pm) with friends with a young child who wanted to eat quickly and fortunately they were able to cater for us in an popular an intimate restaurant.

Was attracted to the facade & decided impromptu to test it out after checking TripAdvisor. Wasn't disappointed one bit. Excellent service from Sarah, the food recommended esp the beef brisket-their signature dish on a bed of mash to die for. Returning again before our return to the mainland. Highly recommmended 😋😋

Fantastic first impression of Launceston provided by Novaro on the night of our arrival. Interesting decor, friendly and helpful staff and great food. Clover Hill sparkling is a favourite of mine so started with some bubbles with the warm olives and goat cheese appetiser. Then the eye fillet with tomato butter and peppercorn jus with broccolini as a side. The... More

Lovely people running the restaurant but menu needs a little work. Regrettably couldn't try the abalone dish as they didn't have any. Had a nice prawn pasta to start. Seafood broth was average as the mussels were properly cleaned and salmon was unnecessary in the dish. Pork belly was a huge let down and almost inedible.

Dear Dave, Thank you for taking the time to review Novaro's Restaurant. Unfortunately we could not offer you our Abalone dish due to unavailability from our supplier, the one and only time in 15 years, a shame as I think you would have enjoyed the flavours…next time perhaps you are in Tasmania. Our wait staff and crew in the kitchen... More
