The service and the quality of the food is up there with the best plenty of easy parking which is ideal for those like me that don't have the legs I used to enjoy the service staff very accommodating and friendly
We had a selection of entrees spring rolls and steamed dim sims mains Mongolian Lamb Chicken in ginger and spring onions Duck with Chinese mushrooms Buk Bo Farn all mouthwatering food the serves are generous
The gents toilets are very clean which tells me about their attention to detail and above all they practise their business on Christian honesty

This well known and long established Launceston restaurant has good food and a fair wine list. However, in our view it is quite expensive for this type of meal, although there are banquet options which may be reasonable value if wanting to eat lots of courses. Our other gripe is slow service. We agree with others that there seems to be preference given to get take-away meals out the door. However, the decor continues to impress, the tables are well-spaced, and parking is easy.

Enjoyed a midweek family function here this week, and was surprised to see how well it was doing. Quite a spacious grand interior. As a group of fifteen, we were comfortably accommodated at a large square table fitted with a 'lazy susan'. This suited our needs well. All our dishes were familiar, tasty & delicious. Prepared fresh and served in good time by helpful, efficient staff. Reminiscent of Chinese meals enjoyed at restaurants in suburban Sydney decades ago (in a good way). An extensive menu. The children amongst us enjoyed their fried ice cream and banana fritter desserts. Will return.

Best Chinese we have had in a long time. We were hesitant about giving this restaurant a try but were pleasantly surprised by the standard of food . We ordered takeaway and were very happy with our meal, the spring rolls , honey prawns, chilli chicken were all really nice and cooked perfectly. We were so impressed we ate there a second time in the restaurant and the food was just as good the second time around. The young man who was our waiter was friendly and polite . On both occasions this restaurant was busy so it is probably a good idea to book a reservation.

Very very ordinary take away. Asked for chinese vegetables with oyster sauce, stewed bok choy no taste over loaded with garlic. Dynasty fried rice was the worst I've had from there.
Very expensive for less than average food.
Won't be going back.

Excellent restaurant and scrumptious food!
Extraordinary clean toilet with paper towel.
Exceptionally dedicated waiter John who bent backwards to fit in with our request and superlatively attentive to our needs. Well done 👍 John.
Definitely recommend this restaurant.
It would top the visit if steam fresh fish could be added to the menu.

We always get our ‘Chinese fix’ when in Launceston at Dynasty. We live in a remote area so crave a Chinese feed when we are in Launceston. Dynasty’s food is always fresh, generous and exactly what you order. Unlike many Asian restaurants in Launceston who complete rip you off when you order takeaway.
Staff are always friendly and courteous despite having to deal with a barrage of calls and diners from 5pm onwards pretty much every night. Big thumbs up.

I had not been to Dynasty before but went with a friend who recommended it. We were not disappointed. Service was efficient and the food was excellent. You can tell when something has been freshly cooked, and the vergetables were just at the right crunch! Everything was terrific and I'd be very happy to eat there again.

I attended with a dinner group celebrating a birthday. We all chose our meals separately, and there was no problem at all for each to pay separately. The service was prompt and we were regularly checked as to how we were progressing or needing anything else.
Moreover as being partial to duck it was my main choice. I have to say it was exceptionally good. I also have to say it was perhaps the best ever in any of my mainland or international travels. All other guests in our party also said their meal was similarly of first class standard. All very much enjoyed the cuisine. The chef behind the scenes has to be congratulated. Whenever next in Launceston it will be my restaurant of choice again

I've yet to find a chinese restaurant here in tasmania thats absolutely authentic. the interior decoration is very chinese to the extreme. the food was more westernised than chinese. the prices were not cheap but not over the top. then thing that really gets on my goat is charging for a whole new pot of chibese tea each time you ask for hot water to be added. there was 5 of us and we like our chinese tea. but $3.50 each time you want hot water added is a bit much. the food was really slow to come out. over all it was pretty average not fabulous but ok .

Our family of four went here for dinner because it was walking distance from our hotel.
This was a solid Chinese meal. While I think the food choices were normal the food quality was a tiny bit above averaged. The service was a bit chaotic with lots of running.
Never a big fan of a kitchen the utilises the microwave so much. So no five star.

Back again for dinner & still the same quality ,service and attention to detail as it has been over the last 30 odd years we have been dining here. Dont be afraid to request meals not on the menu as I have been doing that for years and never been refused. My wife & I can only urge others to frequent this place if you want just that bit better than most dining experiences.

So why only four stars you say, well to book a reservation via their phone as given on their website is a complete waist of time, they don't answer it. However, if you do it by email you will get a response, thank goodness.
The food and the restaurant are first class I have no hesitation to recommend Dynasty in this regard. This is the second time I've eaten there and I will again I'm sure except I'll book by email.

A great experience! Western-Chinese dining at its very best! The decor is great! Impeccable in presentation and cleanliness.
Staff were extremely attentive.
Only reason it is 4/5 stars is the meals were a little slow coming out. It was the night of the Launceston cup, so it was kind of busy but not a full restaurant.
I would highly recommend!!!

Haven't been here since it was the Golden Sea Dragon. Enjoyed sharing the " Mini banquet", and " Romantic banquet" with another couple. Plenty of delicious food. Table was a bit small for what we were doing, but that was a minor issue. While the restaurant was well patronised, it wasn't overly loud like some establishments. Would return.
