Food is fine. Hot or cold available. Freshly made they say so good to take away and freeze if desired. Tasty enough. Bit overpriced given it is just pasta but still. If you have a voucher it becomes a more reasonable price. Only shop there with a voucher, wouldn't otherwise as can make you own a lot more economically.

I visited the Pasta Merchant not knowing what to expect. The really helpful assistant told us how to order, asked if we were eating in or take away. We decided to take out. Great information on how to cook at home ( well more like reheating in the microwave) and I followed the instructions. Magnificent! Food was so tasty and... More

Clean, great prices ($9.30 for good size lasagna) while no kids play area it's kid friendly in the sence that is not too posh alms the mud can make a bit of noise, they don't take bookings but seems to be a relatively quick turnover of customers.

We had come from the Launceston General Hospital. This restaurant was on our 'side of the street'. We were met by friendly staff and made to feel very welcome. We were shown the restaurant's 'specials'. Our order was taken and a really good pasta dish arrived at our table in quick time. We were tired and these friendly people made... More

We got takeaway our first night here as we were tired and needed a quick feed. The pasta was tasty and kids enjoyed the bolognese. Was average really, as something gets lost in the plastic container heated in the microwave with all the sauce at the top. It was fine for what we needed as takeaway.

Great value, delicious and quick, what more do you want? We love the gelato too, the chocolate, hazelnut and cappuccino are favourites. Highly recommended for a great take-away.

3 mins at counter before I was noticed. Then two tiny pasta comes out of plastic tub and gets microwaved and some sauce put on. Even at 6.80 for a small it was worth $2. Better service and food and value across the road at the burger joint. Not really impressed

My wife and I stopped for a coffee and cake. My four-year-old daughter wanted linguini with butter and salt, no sauce. The lady made her a lovely little serve and we all tried a bit. Delicious! My daughter ate the lot and we ended up buying a kilo of fresh pasta to take with us. Great, friendly service. Good food... More

Grabbed take out from The Pasta Merchant after a long day and it was very nourishing. Pasta was tasty and large sizes were only about $10. Yummy fresh salad bags were $5. Service was friendly. Easy peasy meals :) gelato looked delish.
