Lovely location and design. However the food was poor and service erratic. Poor drink selection. This could be a brillant spot with some fresh eyes without losing its character.

We came back to Selections restaurant after not visiting Toowoomba for a couple of years and headed back to the golf club for lunch. This turned out to be a very disappointing choice after so many memories of good meals there. My wife's roast pork was cold, dry and overcooked; the vegetables were similar. I enjoyed a lovely Pork roast with crackling. The smorgasbord selection was very comprehensive. Enjoyed a couple of glasses of red wine. As I was seated next to the window, I had a marvellous vista across the beautiful green well-tended golf course.
Visited for Sunday lunch. Nice choice of meals to choose from, plus the advantage of the vege and salad bar. Lovely. Great views over the course from the dining area. Pleasant surroundings in which to eat. Nice that the gaming room doesn't interfere with enjoyment of the meal.
It took 30 minutes to have my order taken. They where flat out and only had one staff member taking orders. Then it was a 40 minute wait time for meals. I got a pizza and it tasted like hot cheese the base was soft and not nice at all. Didn't even eat it all two slices was enough for... More
One wonders why they pay kitchen staff here. Everything is brought in and then thy seem to burn it ! There no use complaining, they just don't seem to care.
it is unfortunate that your dining experience was not to your expectations. Just wondering if you brought it to someone's attention that your meal was burnt, the kitchen would have only been too happy to exchange your meal. More
Golf club meals are a bit of a hit and miss. I had the same meal from the menu, 2 months apart. First time it was beautiful, couldn't get enough. The second time, I couldn't even eat half of it, tasted less fresh and like it had bee sitting in a hot box for a while.
